Posted: 1/23/05 at 5:43pmThe least appreciated of them all. So any graduation parties yet? Or Yay-the-Evil-ELAs-Are-Over parties? My class had an ELA party. And we have a stupid standerdized social studies test in May-Anyone else? Is it a New York thing like the ELAs or a nation-wide thing?

Haha, My Fair Lady~ you are so funny! Unfortunately, I am not in the eight grade, but I remember 8th grade! We didn't really have a graduation because my school goes through 6-12 grades.
What the heck are ELAs??

im an 8th grader
no plans on parties yet
we get our class rings soon and graduation pictures are in 2 weeks
i did get acception letters from highschools(i go to private school) ive gotten into my first and thrid choice schools so far

It's January, we're having end-of-the-year parties in like June
OH and our Banquet. Basically, the gym is decorated as htough it were a prom, and we have to dress up...its supposed? to be fun..lol
And at the end of the year, we go to a hotel for the whole day and just hang out!

I was in eighth grade last year. What a pain in the neck those state tests were. Ela, social studies, earth science regents, math state exam and mid terms and finals.
Midterms for living environment and math a2 tomorrow. my first highschool midterms!

Posted: 1/23/05 at 9:09pmwow...you all have really extravagent 8th grade years. Mine consisted of a dance, a ceremony, and getting your picture taken with your friends in the courtyard. And then we went home. 8th grade was a pretty fun year. The last time I was ever in a clique.

well im graduating from a private school we get a ring, a field trip to upstate ny for a day on a ranch with a party, a party after graduation, a retreat, a yearbook and graduation pictures that it..

Posted: 1/24/05 at 9:38pmI don't take the ELA's either. I take the GEPAs which s*c* because we prep forever and it's terrrible. All we get is a dance *it's formal and it's kinda fun to get dressed up* and a graduation ceremony. We also get a field trip in May to go to P.A to ride on a boat. What fun. :-P

Posted: 1/24/05 at 9:51pmWe just get a semi-formal dance. And the ceremony. And a retreat, but it's to some religious place, and I've heard it's so horrible. My graduation proofs for the pictures came out horrendously. Only one out of the six was good.
