Door's that way, Di2. Should it hit your ass on the way out, well, that'll be because one of us slammed it.

Heh.
Okay, first of all, this *is* the off-topic board and people are well within their rights to post about anything, well, off-topic. It's not like people are ranting about this on the main board.
And second, considering that you don't give a rat's a$$ about the opinions expressed in this thread, you're awfully vehement about your apathy...

"I just read about the walk at its website
and you guys are a**holes because you are blowing it out of proportion and stirring up people's emotions. Didn't your parents raise you well enough to know that discussing politics in mixed company is in poor taste? "

Uh, country do you live in? This is America, and when last I heard, it was perfectly fine to express one's opinion.

And didn't your parents raise YOU well enough not to call people names?

This is the best piece of bullsh*t propaganda photography ever.
Check it out. Look who the three guys "greeting" our wounded Iraqi invasion veterans are:
Sean Hannity, Rick Santorum...and Oliver North.
True Americans all.

re: 9/11 Par-TAY!!! WOO!!!!!!

Wow. WCA, she showed you up! She also has a fan photo (well, the link's broken for me) of her supposedly as Peggy Sawyer in 42nd St.!!!! Clearly, you're dealing with a highly-talented actress here and you cannot compete. Best to just accept defeat.

re: 9/11 Par-TAY!!! WOO!!!!!!

And you're an expert, Di2? Unless you're spearheading this walk, you have no more expertise than anyone else here.

re: 9/11 Par-TAY!!! WOO!!!!!!

Just so you know, I worked for Cantor Fitzgerald at the WTC on the 102nd floor and lost ALL of my friends in a matter of seconds. All 653 employees were killed including my boss and my entire department. Luckily, I had left less than year prior or else I would have been killed as well.

So, unless you know anything about what it feels like to lose so many loved ones in an instant by barbaric, disgusting terrorist animals that would blow up their own children with no problem in order to KILL US, the infidels,
then you have no right to talk.

The Iraquis are raised and brain washed from birth to believe that we are the sinful infidels and they will stop at nothing to kill us.

Did you see them laughing and holding up our dead soldiers burned clothes yesterday on CNN?? You think that is funny?

We have to wipe them out and I stand 100% behind my President and our soldiers.

The walk is simply a walk it is NOT a party.

"We have to wipe them out and I stand 100% behind my President and our soldiers."

The fact that you claim to have worked at Cantor Fitzgerald doesn't excuse the political naivete of that remark.

"Wipe them out"? Wipe WHO out?

The Iraqis you want to "wipe out" had nothing to do with 9/11, which was perpetrated by citizens of the country ruled by your president's best friends, Saudi Arabia.

I lost friends and spouses of friends who worked for both Cantor Fitzgerald and Marsh McClellan. Your attitude does not match ANY of the survivors I know, NONE of whom would say something as crass as "Luckily, I had left less than year prior or else I would have been killed as well." "LUCKILY"? These people all suffer in various ways from "survivor guilt," and none of them see the war in Iraq as responding to the loss of their loved ones.

God help you, if you made that up to claim moral superiority.

Sounds like Di2 is looking forward to genocide.

More news:

According to Newsweek's Michael Isikoff and Mark Hosenball, U.S. law enforcement officials say that a man the United States has accused of being an "American contact" for an Osama bin Laden "front organization" is now working for the new Iraqi government the United States is trying so hard to prop up.

Newsweek says an American-born Iraqi citizen named Tariq A. Hamdi -- who the U.S. government says delivered a satellite-telephone battery to bin Laden in Afghanistan in 1998 -- is working at the Iraqi Embassy in Ankara, Turkey. Hamdi was indicted last May in Virginia on charges of immigration and mortgage fraud, Newsweek says, but an affidavit filed in the case makes it clear that the government has bigger concerns about him. In that affidavit, Newseek repots, a U.S. custom agent accuses Hamdi of providing "material support" to bin Laden and al Qaida. Among other things, the agent says that Hamdi traveled to Afghanistan in 1998 and delivered a satellite-phone battery to bin Laden. Hamdi made the trip, the agent says, while helping arrange for an ABC News reporter to interview bin Laden.

PalJoey..I most certainly did NOT make anything up. I worked at Cantor for a year and a half as an Investment Liason, thanks, and couldn't give a flying f*ck about how other survivors react. YOU are the one claiming to know people when I actually worked there. So, maybe YOU are making it up, not me.

I can't believe that you would have the audacity to question me after I just shared with you how I lost friends and coworkers in 9/11. Would you question a widow? Are you that arrogant? I have been in counseling since 9/11 dealing with my loss, thanks.

Who the hell do you think you are?

I have the right to my own opinion just as you do and I think those people are disgusting for what they did to our country.

Thanks.

What did the Iraqi people do to this country?

Honey, you need counseling for more than 9/11. Good luck with that.

Borstalboy...f*ck off. Don't call me honey, d*ckless.

I have the right to my opinion and get very defensive when people who have no idea about losing loved ones in 9/11 open their mouths and jump on their soapbox.

Salon.com blew the walk completely out of proportion, it is not a fourth of july-like, CRAAZZY party like you are saying. That is a flat out lie.

You get some counseling, darling

You didn't answer my question, Di2:

What did the Iraqi people do to us that you want to "wipe them out"?
#45

re: 9/11 Par-TAY!!! WOO!!!!!!

Yes, honey, you forgot to answer that.

re: 9/11 Par-TAY!!! WOO!!!!!!

I think Di2 needs a new counselor, if she believes that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11.

"The Pentagon would hold a massive march and country music concert to mark the fourth anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said in an announcement tucked into an Iraq war briefing today."

re: 9/11 Par-TAY!!! WOO!!!!!!

Exactly. A "country music concert" is hardly the most respectable way to observe a tragic anniversary.
