A-Ha’s Accoustic “Take On Me”

This past week the world kind of noticed this video from June where A-Ha performed an accoustic version of “Take On Me” for Unplugged. I’m guessing anyone under the age of 35 won’t fully appreciate this for just how meaningful and gorgeous (and surprising) it is. And it’s made so much more powerful by the reaction from the audience, who appear to be in their 40s and for a few minutes here, were allowed to travel back to being 14 years old and listening to their records and watching MTV.

What a haunting rendition. Thanks for sharing. I'm under 35 but I've love this song for like 15 years. Even considered going to their concert when they did a stop in NYC 8 years ago, but I didn't have that kind of cash flow back then. It's always a whole new layer of awesomeness to hear great recording artists sing live and unplugged.

Then I proceeded to die laughing at the sh!ttyflute cover. Hahaha.

At a hs homecoming dance, not only was this REQUESTED, but a large majority of the attendees sang along.
