New album, new songs, release date in November!!
I'm SO excited for their new material, but what tickles me even more is their plan for a "virtual" performance tour in 2022. They will be employing digital versions (ABBAtars) of themselves.
To create their digital variants, the band’s creative team turned to the same motion capture technology used in big Hollywood films like Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. The motion capture suits were so cool that the members of ABBA decided to use a photo of themselves in their suits as their most recent press photo:
This is so typical ABBA. The fashion design of their concert wear has always been left of center... Much of it has been so unconventional that it borders on being ludicrous, or even tacky, and yet... still not. 
In the 21st century version of ABBA, they will not even be physically visible, as clad in their concert wear. They will be ABBAtars.
