That wasn't too bad. Not especially well-done though.
I can't believe one woman called 911!!!!
The fat asses and guts of lard on most of the passers-by are much more offensive to public decency than any kissing could ever be.

ABC was in Hoboken last week taping passer-by's reactions to a lost child. It caused some drama in town.

Posted: 4/28/08 at 3:49pmI'm glad that the investigation included reactions to two females kissing as well. I have no problem with a person being gay, straight, bi or whatever their orientation may be, but I have always been offended by the double standard that it is wrong for men to kiss in public but sexy for girls to make out in public. There has even been a time in my life in which I was questioning and a male I knew tried to take advantage of that by trying to get me to basically put on a show for him. Attitudes like that, I believe are disgusting.
With that said, I don't generally enjoy PDA's whether they be between gay or straight couples, but that is just my opinion.

Ivan and I hold hands when we go to the strip and only one loud drunk guy yelled at us.
A couple of women complimented us.
We were at Ivan's company Christmas party in '06. It was a lounge/bar off the strip. We were making out in the bathroom and this younger guy came in. At first, he was shocked, but then yelled out "Do that again!" I dunno what he was thinkin', but it was pretty funny.

It enrages me that the routine signs of affection (holding hands, etc.) which aren't even noticed when practiced by straights are used by bigots as examples of "shoving our lifestyle down their throats."
I've been on tour a great deal, and it's shocking how standards change from location to location. There are certain cities where our touring contacts would warn us to "turn down the gay" to avoid problems with the locals. I once had a knife pulled on me at a New Mexico rest stop for (apparently) looking or acting gay--nothing overt, I was just talking to two (straight) friends, but there must have been something in my demeanor which set them off. There really is no way of knowing what will happen (or where)...

I'm so glad this was posted. I forgot all about this. Some of the reactions truly disgusted me.
I really don't have a temper but this is my one weakness where I just can not hold back. Any sort of homophobia or racism really seems to set me off.
