Why did it take me forever to realize that the actor portraying Henry is the same guy who was on Popular?!
Blueroses, Popular?
"Blueroses, Popular? "
It was a under-rated but amazing show on the WB
It was about two girls in high school: one an artsy geek, the other blonde and popular, whose parents get married and they become sisters.
I loved that show.

Dottie, Popular was the best! Late '90s/early '00s? Sara Rue, Tammy Michaels? I looked up the actor who plays Henry and learned he was the same guy who played Harrison.
Viva Popular! Mary Cherry forever!
Thanks for filling me in. I never heard of it!!
"Mary Cherry forever! "
She was the BEST character on that show.
Ah...the WB back in the days of "Popular" and "Roswell"......fond memories!
And it's so great to see so many of the "Popular" actors and actresses go on to other things.....
My favorite storyline on that show was when the captain of the football team made the lead in the musical, and his dad wouldn't support him in show. That and Sara Rue's character wanting to be on the Glamazons!

Clumsy, don't forget about her mom, Cherry Cherry! Delta Burke was fabulous. Popular reminds me of Ugly Betty with the way they are able to blend the comical, over-the-top campiness with moments of real depth and feeling.
I hope we get to see more of Becky. She's excellent. Maybe Bizarro Becky will return...the Betty-like assistant at the woman's magazine!
"Clumsy, don't forget about her mom, Cherry Cherry! "
CHERRY CHERRY was HYSTERICAL.
Like the whole thing with the meeting with the principal and the web-feet.
Oh gosh.
One nice touch about that night's episode was very tiny but I am positive it was scripted as such when Santos stood up for Justin on the train he said "Go up tell me about 'The Hairspray'" and Justin let it pass which he normally would not do at all...I though it was a nice little touch-- a lovely father son bonding moment.
But I hate the new triangle with Betty/Henry/Charlie...it lacked imagination-- plus Betty deserves to be able to try out her new wings darnit.
I LOVE 'Popular.'

"Flit. Flit."
"What?"
"Its what butterflies do."
"Oh, I thought you were cursing at me in Scottish."
:Ugly Betty, the Halloween episode:
I loved that scene it cracked me up. Ashley is actually funnier on Extras, but I love her snarky comments on UB. America & Ashley must have at least one scene every week...that goes for Amanda & Marc....
I want an Ugly Betty musical episode as seen through they eyes of Justin. I mean, its not much of a stretch.
Justin is given the opportunity to intern/write a 'young perspective' article for the magazine and is thrown into the gay stratosphere at the prospect of working at Mode for a week. He see's everything through song and dance.
heaven.

I DEMAND IT.
mateo: write it!
And Marc Shaiman does the music.
Oh god. That'd be amazing.

Stupid show. What a tease!
Although, I kind of like Charlie too much to have Henry kiss Betty without breaking up with her. Still, evil promos! Evil hiatus!
I've got a couple of spoilers for the next few episodes! (I think we're gonna get re-runs for at least a couple of weeks. Boo...)
SPOILERS!
1. Betty's dentist is a one-episode love interest (not really, but enough to make Henry jealous).
2. Marc's mother is coming to visit, and thinks he's straight...and almost engaged to Betty! She meets her possible future "in-laws" who degrades Justin's "swishy"-ness, until Marc's had enough.
3. Alexis and Daniel are both going to be editors-in-chief although of course they'll still battle with each other.
4. Amanda hooks up with a "faux-mo" up-and-coming designer!

Is that supposed to be "who degrade Justin's swishy-ness"? I can't imagine Betty even pretending to do that.
Oops, corrected.

"Marc's mother is coming to visit"
Have they cast the mother yet? If not, how about Stockard Channing?
Oh, I like that idea, Goth.
Have I ever mentioned that this show makes my life?
How about Patti LuPone as Marc's mother? Didn't someone mention she was scheduled to guest-star?
Was I the only one who loved Lucy Liu's guest-starring role?
We need some theater stars there though.

Here's a review from the Sydney Morning Herald re 'Ugly Betty' Down Under

They were casting Marc's mother this past week. I don't know who's playing her. Stockard Channing would be BRILL!
Did I mention Amanda dressed like a giant condom?
"Did I mention Amanda dressed like a giant condom? "
Oh my god.
That will be AMAZING.
