Next week's theme is 80's big hair rock band. Should be a breeze for Adam and Allison. I'm already frightened thinking about what Megan might sing.

Although Michael wasn't great last night, Lil, Scott or Megan should have gone home before him. Sad how Idol works eh? Hopefully, he'll be a succesful country music singer after this.

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

Actually, I have a feeling Megan might not be the worst next week.

I am sad that Michael didn't go last week. He should not be on tour, Alexis should.

But yeah, I think Megan could do ok with 80's music, maybe not amazing, but I think Scott will be the one to do poorly

EW. Per IdolForums, apparently next week is going to be itunes top 100 week?? I do not LIKE current music. This should be obnoxious.


But, for some funny and random reason, Journey's Don't Stop Believin' is at #92, So Adam should still be all set! hehe (He's even mentioned wanting to do that song! Should be amazing)

Megan was sort of a train wreck (though I admit I like her in general), Scott was BLAND and Anoop bored me to tears. Lil didn't make a good song choice, but even lesser Lil is still a lot better than most. Same with Danny.

At least Adam looked a little better during his song. It was a nice song, but he still bugs me to no end. Personally, I think it would be a blast to see Allison win.

I went itunes to download Tracks of My Tears but it is NOT the beautiful, soft, acoustic version from the show. Be warned. Listen to the sample before you buy it. You may like it, but I wanted the version I heard on the show

I actually really enjoy the Tracks of My Tears studio recording, simply because I think it's a great song any way you slice it and I think he sounds GORGEOUS in it.

That said, the live version IS much, much more raw and emotional and I love it for that. The live version is way more moving. And a more unique arrangement as well.

I just happen to really like the Motown sound in general, and again, I love his voice in the recording :)



Oh and also he changed the lyrics just a bit to make the song gender neutral

Adams:

I am sooo GLAD that Michael finally got the boot. He was such a snooze fest. If Megan doesn't go next week, I will NOT be happy. Her exit is WAY overdue. I don't think she should have even made it to the Top 12.

4 more hours! Should be an, umm, interesting night. Can't wait to see what Adam picked. Rumor is Crazy, but with all the youtube of that out there, I can't believe he'd be that predictable. Other rumors are Disturbia and Bleeding Love.

But I haven't found a rumor yet on Adam's songs that have been right until dress rehearsal gets out around 7pm EST.

I agree with everyone else though...crappy theme this week. Here's hoping they can dig up some gems.
