AMERICAN IDOL
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2275
Posted: 5/14/09 at 7:13pmI feel like Kris isn't really guaranteed Danny's votes. If any of Danny's Family Values Christian fans vote next week, it will be for Kris. But there are other fans of Danny who were also fans of Adam, because they were the loudest and the most consistently praised. (A lot of those types are the core of American Idol's audience. Nice folk, but not savvy.) Then there's the fact that a lot of Adam fans were throwing Kris votes, for many weeks, for many reasons. He's cute/the musical style is closer to what they like/they want to imagine him sleeping with Adam/they hate Danny Gokey. Kris is going to mostly lose the support of Adam fans in the finale.

"This story was shared by a friend of the Allen Family who attended the rehearsals this week in LA!
Did you notice Kris had his thumbnail repainted? Can you guess who painted it? That's right! Adam Lambert! Kris performed during Rock week with a painted thumbnail, and his homecoming footage captured the chipped polish. Tuesday night, however, Kris performed one of the best performances of the night (and the season, might I add) with a freshly painted thumbnail.
According to Megan Malone, Adam painted Kris's thumbnail after the homecoming visits and removed the polish from one of his own nails, stating "If you can carry around a piece of me, man; I can do the same for you." Malone said, "The Allens believe Kris wears the black fingernail polish in support of Adam because he wanted Adam in the finale. Also, Kris wanted to dispel any rumors claiming the two weren?t great friends." Kris and Adam were roommates in the Idol Mansion throughout their stay."

Posted: 5/15/09 at 12:00amLOL, I definitely saw that on another site and it's the cutest thing ever! I love that they're such good friends.

Oh dear god, how did I miss that! LOL
I'm going more with the "they hate Danny Gokey", but that was funny anyway!
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2281
Posted: 5/15/09 at 1:19pmThat is adorable. Their reactions when each of them made the finals seemed so real, they were (or seemed) honestly happy for each other.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2282
Posted: 5/15/09 at 1:22pmYeah, I think they genuinely like and respect each other.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2283
Posted: 5/15/09 at 1:26pmDid I misread an article where Adam indicated that it was Kris and Gokey that were great friends and the he (Adam) and Gokey didnt see "eye to eye" on many things?
"In Oz, the verb is douchifizzation." PRS
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2284
Posted: 5/15/09 at 1:27pmI heard Adam and Danny didn't really get along. I imagine Kris probably gets along with everyone. That cute thing.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2286
Posted: 5/15/09 at 2:26pmI think that article is linked somewhere in this thread. Adam does say that he and Danny have to "agree to disagree".
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2287
Posted: 5/15/09 at 2:56pmI'd have to agree to disagree with that smug douche too.

I posted a quote from the USA Today article that could have been read that way, but it was actually saying that Adam and Kris (as roommates in the Idol house) had developed a friendship, whereas Adam and Danny basically disagree on everything.

"I'd have to agree to disagree with that smug douche too."
I just love the word "douche" when it's referring to someone who's an ass, LOL!
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2290
Posted: 5/15/09 at 6:11pmLOL! The VFTW people were all referring to him as DWD or Dead Wife Douche. The name seems to have stuck.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2291
Posted: 5/15/09 at 6:20pmI love the word douche.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2293
Posted: 5/15/09 at 6:52pmLOL - how did I just get that post from Adam Lambert on my Facebook - I LOVE IT. I have never joined his fan club or anything?!?!?!?

Stockard,
Are you calling Adam a douche?
Do you even know him?
He's a very nice guy, and he is going to win...
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2296
Posted: 5/15/09 at 7:05pmOh, no Diva. We LOVE us some Adam.

Diva, go back and read....."Dead Wife Douche". I'm quite certain that Adam doesn't have a dead wife.
I don't think anyone would ever call Adam a douche.

Adam= the OPPOSITE of douchey
I've gotta admit.. I do feel bad about immediately assuming Danny IS a douche. He definitely came off that way on TV, and I have no problem saying that because it's true. But after his elimination I kind of got to thinking.. he DID just loose his wife weeks before entering into this huge, stressful Idol machine. And I know the whole dead wife thing was way exploited, but it did still happen. And I guess I just realized that it's got to be REALLY really hard to deal with any kind of huge grief while trying to keep up with the rapid Idol pace. So I almost wonder if maybe he wasn't coming across that way just because he has a lot of stuff he still hasn't dealt with yet.
I think it's probably a very good thing that he left when he did. And I really don't mean that in a mean way- I truly would have been worried for him if he'd won. I can't see how anyone could experience such a loss, win American Idol and do eeeverything that goes along with that job, and still remain mentally healthy. When you're grieving you need time to just let yourself work it out. So in all sincerity, I hope that he goes home and really takes care of himself before starting on the whole music thing. I can imagine that he probably auditioned not really knowing what he was getting himself into, and that it's probably been really hard at times.
Again, I'm no Danny fan and I DO think he came across totally douchey on Idol haha, but watching some of his exit interviews and stuff I think I just started thinking about how hard it WOULD be to be in his position. I doubt he's really a bad guy. Though, yes, I'm willing to bet I too would have to "agree to disagree" with him on a whole lot of issues haha.
