ANGELS IN AMERICA : One More Week (and an interesting second week)!

Shill Alert: I am playing Joe.

I am not sure on which board this should actually be posted. It could be the main board, as it is theater related. It could be the Dallas board because the production in Dallas. I post on the off-topic board most often, so I am posting it here.

Risk Theatre Initiative's production of ANGELS IN AMERICA-PART ONE: MILLENNIUM APPROACHES opens Thursday at the Bath House Cultural Center. The production then runs Wednesday-Sunday until May 28. As Tony Kushner indicates in his script notes, this production is truly actor driven in this scaled down and intimate version.

If you are in Dallas, I hope you will try to come see this show. (As an FYI, my understudy will be on this Friday and Saturday. My sister is getting married!)

Thanks everyone. The opening went very well, and we received a great review in the Dallas Morning News and a great write-up on D Magazine's blog. We are expecting two more reviews this week.

This is a bump, but with new information!

After an interesting second week that found an actor in the hospital for four nights, two shows cancelled, and an underprepared but very brave understudy going on for two nights, we weathered the storm and are approaching our last five shows. We run Wednesday-Saturday nights, with a Sunday matinee to close out the run. (That specific information was, of course, for the Dallasites on the board!)
