Hi everyone. I am new here. I don't do much posting anywhere, really, but I do from time to time over at All That Chat.

Anyone know why the board has been down for so long? I miss it.

There's nothing wrong with the board at TB. From time to time it goes down out of sheer overload though.

One can be banned by getting into a flame war, mentioning Vera, or any number of things that irritate the mods at any given time.

I got a reprimand and a temporary ban (about an hour) for mentioning the word bootleg.

Actor's Equity monitors web-based message boards and even public e-mail lists (like Yahoo) for mentions of the b word. If there is discussion of these, the site is threatened with legal action. The web site owners have to be very diligent about this. Best not to even mention them here either. I think they use auto-search program that looks for certain words.

I also post at ATC. Not very often, though.

mlop should enter her posts at the Whitney Biennial, they really are some sort of wierd contemporary performance art.

One should take Richard's remininces with several grains of salt.

He's never attacked me there, but I REALLY want to bitchslap buzzie. And the preciousness of The_Girlfriends grows tiresome quickly. K-Dog used to annoy the sh*t outta me, but he's calmed down recently and now I think he's pretty cool.

Danny just needs an enema. And Dennis was banned for displaying creepy stalkerish tendencies.

When I was on dial-up, I had to minimize AOL and post through IE. Now that I have a fast connection, I can post directly from AOL.

hmmmm I am just gonna register a name on ATC. Title a thread..."The Beatnik Musicals of the 1960's" and in it type

What did Danny and Vera do to be so hated as to warrant a banning of anyone mentioning their names? Seems awfully harsh to me.

My application to ATC was denied because I don't have my own computer (I use the one at work). I have 2 separate email accounts, but that wasn't good enough for them.

I like this board better, anyway.

ou don't get banned for mentioning Danny, praising him or cursing him only raises your profile, but Vera is another matter.

Aren't there several anti-ATC boards?

Vera was a nut case. Possibly dangerous. Didn't know Danny or Dennis were banned. I'm just a casual reader there. I've had my issues with some of the ATC attitudes, but I did read one of the "anti" sites once and it was so foul I felt the black miasma clinging to me afterward. Nothing witty or smart about it, just pure unadultrated hatred...those people really need to move on.

Danny does still post on ATC. He's never been banned that I know of. No reason he should have been, really.

Thanks for clearing that up, JohnPopa. I couldn't remember any huge dust-up (beyond Danny's usual but was going on what was said in an earlier post.
