Just saw him on Wendy Williams and he said he had a GF and noticed that he was not wearing his wedding ring.
I know he is a very private person (personally), so just curious to know I didn't dream that he was married at some point.

Posted: 7/17/13 at 3:28pmI don't remember where I read it and or heard it (some interview), like just before Next To Normal, he mentioned his wife would hate it if he took too much on...that was right when Gossip Girl started to get big for him. I also noticed a wedding ring on his finger....I could be dreaming all this...lol

I know of all this above in relation to the word "Wife", but I clearly remember watching an interview and the person who interviewed him asked if all the fame and busy schedule has taking a toll on his personally life. Then Aaron's answer was that his wife keeps him grounded and that she would not want me to take on too much.
But, then again, I could be dreaming it all. But, damn, it is so clear in mind that I totally swear I heard that from him. Oh it is possible he meant "The Good Wife" and in "Wife" keeps him grounded...I could have heard wrong now that I come to think about it...
Oh well, seems like a great guy!

Maybe he did say something like that. I have a friend who has lived with his gf for more than a decade. They are not married but he refers to her as his wife.

I have friends who work in the biz and don't want their personal life mentioned so they say things like "I'm Married" etc just so it stops people from asking. When you're single and you're looking gossip folks make things up.

But that can just as easily backfire as people try to find out who this mystery spouse is, especially when they do start a new relationship and everyone begins to wonder where their "wife" disappeared to (as evidenced by this thread). It just seems like going that route eventually leads to far more probing into their personal life than if they just say "I'm single" and leave it at that.

Ok I didn't just wake up today. This thread is hilarious in it's own right, but that bit is absurd. SORRY nobody lies about being married in the "biz." You don't just come out with that crap, you do understand marriages are public records and in the public domain? Outside of the Manti Te'o debacle most "journalists" would fact check something like that immediately.
Now in ordinary life people lie at bars and on the internet for various reasons, but this is not that.
