Wednesday and Pugsley are going into the "Harmony Hut"...
I can't wait to hear Debbie say "MAL-I-BU Barbie" when explaining how her parents mistreated her.

This was my favorite movie in 1994. The whole thing is just hilariously written. How I mourned when my Addams Family love parade was rained upon by the death of Raul Julia that same year!
The best scene is the one where the camp misfits stage a riot against all the blonde burbies. Joan Cusack was a real find, too.

I was so obsessed with this movie when I was in Middle School. I need to buy it on DVD.
Edith 'Little Edie' Bouvier Beale: Do you think my costume looked all right for Brooks? I think he was a little amazed.

I love Grease 2 for the same reasons!!!
I, of course, love Merrily to death as well!

Posted: 1/24/05 at 3:27amI first saw this movie when I was 9, had the video, and watched it constantly until I was about 12. I went back and watched it 2 years ago and was shocked at the amount of jokes that went over my head.

This is one rare dark comedy that gets the tone just right. The original was another one.
My favorite line: "Guess what they got me? MALIBU Barbie! That's not what I wanted. That's not who I was. I was a ballerina: Graceful, delicate! That had to go...".
Good stuff.

Posted: 1/24/05 at 5:55pmHarriet Harris is also in the movie, but has a very small part. She is the mother of the snobby girl, Amanda, and she gets pied in the face or something. I always find it interesting when I come across Broadway actors/actresses in movies.
