13 US Service members were killed today in airport bombing, just awful news. Thoughts and prayers to the family of those service members who died serving their country.

Agreed, I wish the best for the families invovled currently. I blame Bush the most for starting this crap in the first place, but every single president since, and currently serving, deserves blame for all this. It’s an F’ING disaster.

Why did they not start evacuating before an official withdrawal announcement? Would that have been easier said than done?

#5

Afghanistan

Why did they abandon Bagram airbase in the middle of the night? This whole thing looks like amateurs were running the show. Pray for those American soldiers and civilians and Afghan helpers left behind. They are as good as dead .They will be running for their lives

The sad part is the families of those killed will never be able to give them a decent burial. A **** show of monumental proportions.

Without a doubt, Bush deserves most of the blame getting the US into this mess which caused thousands of lives and trillions of dollars. Sadly, Bush was a puppet and Cheney was pulling the strings. Cheney was the war hawk and never saw a war he did not like. Unfortunately, they believed in nation building and did not understand these people are religious fanatics. Thanks to Bush, this country went from having a surplus to a deficit quickly due to his horrible decisions.

All of the above being said, Biden withdrawal is a disaster and more bad things may happen. It seems like he is ok with some Americans being stuck there from his response to questions. Personally, I think the Biden presidency is done. This will become his defining moment and no infrastructure bill is going to make people forget lives lost due to horrible planning. Thoughts and prayers for the service people who died and for the people still stuck in that hell hole of a country !!

My respect to those who lost their lives. And to President Biden, as well.

Absolutely. This has been a 20 year disaster with never a plan to get out. I do worry this is overwhelming Biden though. He was handed a pile of garbage left by #45. And now this is being added to his already full plate. My worry is he won't accept a second term and the 2024 election will be total chaos. Harris isn't likeable, hence why she did so badly in the Democratic primaries. So if Biden opts out of his second term, I worry for who the best candidate can be to possibly go up against Don Jr., DeSantis or Nikki Haley.

Ah yes, "The Biden Presidency is done". Totally. He should move out TODAY and resign, right? Yeah, so odd that Sociopath Rapist 45 said the exact same thing. It's good to know you two are on the exact same page. As always.

Biden did nothing wrong, he carried out 45's plan. 45 simply didn't want to do it during his Presidency because there was no way it would not have been messy and awful. Biden takes full responsibility and is actual adult. He is a true leader who has compassion, empathy and respect for all troops. He is as devastated as we all are for our Vets who were killed and those left behind.

Joey Robinette said he had no plans to run originally but wanted to after seeing what Rapist was doing to America. He does not need to run again, I don't want him to run again, I want a younger Democrat to take over. Our Country would have imploded if he did not step in. We only need him for four years. We will see. He has been an excellent POTUS so far and finally bringing our fine men and women home after an endless, pointless 20 year war.

Did I say he should resign, the answer is no. I said his Presidency is done because it is hard to recover from this kind of foreign policy disaster. JFK was never as popular and his re-election was in doubt due to the "Bay Of Pigs". Did President Carter recover from the Iran Hostage crisis, the answer is no. Actually, I don't think Biden should resign. Anytime a POTUS makes mistake of judgement no matter how serious does not mean they should resign. Seriously, did you expect "45" to say anything less -lol Of course, he will try to make political capital on anything Biden does which is not good, just like Obama did during "45" term in office.

"Biden did nothing wrong, he carried out 45's plan. 45 simply didn't want to do it during his Presidency because there was no way it would not have been messy and awful. Biden takes full responsibility and is actual adult. "

Let me make sure I understand you correctly. If Trump had carried out the same plan while he was POTUS with the same result, you would have understood it would be awful and messy and not put any blame on him if he took full responsibility. Give us a break Sutton, you would have blasted him on this board immediately -lol.

"He has been an excellent POTUS so far and finally bringing our fine men and women home after an endless, pointless 20 year war."

Gas prices over $1.00 a gallon more than last November. Biden shut down Keystone Pipeline.

Inflation is rising big time due to spending and that is before 3.5 trillion Infrastructure bill.

Southern border is a mess and people are coming into the country with COVID.

Biden with 97 other US Senators voted for Bush to wage war in Afghanistan. See link below.

U.S. Senate: U.S. Senate Roll Call Votes 107th Congress - 1st Session

Crime is up in almost every major city in the US and what is Biden doing to help?

Baby, you can't write a paragraph without writing "lol" and you get your "facts" from Newsmax (which you admitted). I typically don't bother with any person like you online or in real life. I like to be around/talk to intelligent, curious, science-based humans who are based in reality.

Anything (literally anything) you say is not credible, is all bullsh*t, and will never matter. To anyone.

Enjoy defending Rush Limbaugh, scrolling Parler, and je*king off to Newsmax, though. I'm done acknowledging you. Forever.

I wouldn’t say he’s “done.” It’s literally been months. We have 3 more years. He was handed a steaming pile of **** with a pandemic and now this. I don’t even fully understand all the inner workings of this but saddened for everyone’s losses.

To say this won’t be bad for Biden’s political career, let alone 2022, justified or not, is just naive. The GOP will run with this for 4 years, add in Joe’s age and the fact he barely seems to be keeping it together mentally, I’m feeling validated right now saying he was our worst choice candidate possible. Not in a “HA! I’m rignt!” Way of validation, just, this doesn’t seem right or like it will be heading in a positive direction politically. I mean I’m a liberal and would LOVE a new nominee come 2024, simply due to his age, forget anything else.

Thankfully we are out, let’s hope we can all remain safe.

He was far from our worst candidate. He just need him until 2024, that's it. He works hard and was handed a horrible situation. He's navigated us weekly with everything that is going on, unlike the former person who was there who gave up after 5 minutes in.

It’s age, and the work that will be done on one side of the aisle to say how all of this was somehow his fault. I don’t doubt the stupid anymore 1.5 years into a pandemic.

Do you believe there should be a minimum age for a President?

I believe there should be a maximum also. It’s the most grueling job in the world to a degree, he is 78. Most 78 year olds are not working high stress level jobs, let alone navigating a massive pandemic amidst political insanity, it’s a lot for anyone.

Mike, I believe there should be a minimum and maximum, simply because your brain and body starts to deteriorate. I love Joey Robinette, but you are correct, most 78 year old people are not working, and he works his ass off weekly. Like 50/60 hour weeks probably. I always worry about him burning himself out.

I want someone younger simply because it's easier for them and they are slightly sharper. And I don't always have to worry about them. It's nothing personal and it does not mean someone is discriminating against older people. I get what you're saying.

In his address to the nation, President Biden just showed that he is in control. I don't regret for one moment that I voted for him. Nor will I be hesitant to vote for him again should he decide to run.

If you believe in a minimum age limit, that is ageist to anyone under 35. Set limits to both is all I argue. Not ageist in the slightest
#24

Afghanistan

Saying he's barely keeping it together mentally is just stupid right wing crap.
#25

Afghanistan

I never said he was losing it, so quit putting words in my mouth. Stating that someone may be too old is not right wing crap, all of my liberal friends, Mid 20 year olds, people Dems need to continue winning elections, aren’t inspired by him and think he’s too old for the gig, it’s really simple!

No one has addressed this though, thoughts on minimum age for President?
