re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

Wow, etoile. For someone who posts nothing but snarky and chastising posts, it's ironic that you're now telling me that you are the one of the two of us who posts here for "amusement."

The joke about the weekend was just that - a joke. Making light of a situation that's a pain in the ass, travel-wise, and funny in the fact that I haven't been to a wedding in years, and now here are two, hundreds of miles away from each other, within two days time. Come on, that's funny! And if I didn't want to go to them, I wouldn't. I'm honored to be a part of both - extremely happy for all involved.

As far as resentment, I don't resent anyone for what career or life they have. I am one who believes that we are where we are because that's where life has taken us - it's the decisions I've made that put me where I am today. No one else's. That attitude makes resentment impossible, and makes my life my own responsibility.

The only thing I "resent" about the Alan Cumming nuptials is that he wasn't allowed to be wed in the country he's chosen to adopt - sadly, he had to go back to the country our forefathers left in order to found a "free" nation.

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

Oh, and to be on topic here for a second, the reason Cumming couldn't get married in Massachussetts (I forget who asked this question earlier in the thread) is that they clarified the Mass. ruling and only allow residents of the state to wed.

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

Thanks, PJ! I was looking at the BWW story from today, hoping there would be a pic, but it was just a stock photo of Cumming.

That's supposed to be the photo of a "happy couple"???

They both look drunk.

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

To me Alan always looks drunk.
I have NEVER met Cheyenne Jackson. I have never hung out with him in his dressing room, he did not tweet me, he never bought me a beverage, and he mostly certainly didn't tickle me. . .that is all.

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

I can be snarky and chastising in my post. I don't suffer fools. I do call out people on their sh*t. Perhaps that's why our post have crossed.

So, since you've failed yet again to answer and have only attempted to derail and deflect, I'll ask again. What did you mean by insultingly calling Alan Cumming a sleazy little hobag?

Or did I see you answer indirectly and about yourself in another post of yours, "Nutcases around here today. Desperate to show others in a bad light, I guess they think that makes them look better?"

So is that it? Is that why you insult others? Is that why do you feel the need to snipe at so many performers? Why such harsh and unwarranted criticisms of these very same people you hope so desperately to work among some day. Have you not a clue how many bridges you have burned with your insults? Who would hire you? Who would want to work with you? Who would want see what you post about them next? Your website was listed in the past. You're still in who's who. They'd know who to blacklist. You, with all your industry insiderness, certainly knows how small a world it is. So keep tapping away there, Peggy Sawyer, just don't expect to see those footlights anytime soon.
Rest in peace, Iflitifloat.

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

Plenty of mirrors but still no reply why you insulted Alan Cumming. The question is not going to go away. You insulted the wrong performer this time around.

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

I was not insulting him, genius, but as I tried to explain in other posts before, I was poking fun at the posters who always are up in arms over celebs being able to wed while they can't. It's a common complaint around here, but since you *claim* to seldom be here (although you certainly know what everyone else posts), perhaps you don't know that.

I'm done trying to explain something to someone who has no desire to hear the explanation, because it doesn't fit their agenda. If you don't get it now, TFB.

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

Funny thing is, Alan would probably be pleased to hear he's been called a sleazy little hobag or whatever.

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

hell, I once made a reference to Alan's portrayal of the Emcee as a "crack smoking man-whore".

Only I was partially joking around... well, sort of...

Anyways, that's a cute picture. Yay for drunken happiness. =D

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

I never claimed to be seldom here. I just seldom post. Ever try it?

You called the man, "...that sleazy little hobag." You can once again try to spin, backpedal, and deflect but that's an insult no matter how you now want to try and rationalize it away. When do insults at a gay man become germane to the same sex marriage issue? Only in Rath's world. It is comforting to know that you say it was all to poke fun at an issue that is so very vital and near & dear to so many here.

This "sleazy little hobag" is insulted that my title is being considered an insult.

Something told me not to open this thread.

Maybe it was a joke. Maybe it's how Rath feels about Cumming. Either way, she doesn't owe you or anyone else an explanation.

And, for the record, I know plenty of people who refer to her by her real name off of the board.

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

Hey, etoile, not to be mean or anything, but I'm sort of getting sick of you raking Rath over the coals here about the name-calling.

Honestly, I don't think Alan would give a rat's ass if someone called him a 'sleazy ho-bag', and chances are that he'll probably never come on this forum and read this thread, it's really not that big of a deal.

The important thing here is that he has settled down with someone he truly loves and we should respect that. Not saying we all have to agree that Alan Cumming is the best thing since sliced bread, but we should respect the fact that he has gotten married [well, technically speaking any ways].

That being said, I don't want to get involved with your little riff between Rath and I am only saying this because the majority of this thread is you going stock raving mad over someone else's opinion. Just chill out. Go watch some TV. Read a book. Take a walk. Whatever you have to do to get get this angst out of your system.

What's so wrong about being a ho-bag?!?

(by the way, there is a hyphen.)

Oh etoile? I'm gay.

It was a JOKE. Whether you want to believe it or not. I don't. CARE. Just get off it.

And Perfectly Marvelous, thanks for posting, every time I see your name I get that song in my head, and today I needed something to take the place of Xanadu. re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

I am saying that Mr. Cumming is now married and will certainly be busy with that. So chances are, he will NOT be Googling his name any time soon.

And didn't I tell you to take a walk?

I don't understand why you feel the need to sabotage this thread. I really don't.
