re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

What type of person finds something nasty to say in a thread about two people who I assume love one another enough to get married? What type of person?

Rath responds with another of her pat inferences in which she erroneously alludes to someone else being in need of medication, rather than by addressing the questions her post prompted. Deflect much? I'm not the one who has trouble celebrating and being happy for someone's joyous events in their life. What does it say about you when you make a negative out of a wedding announcement? A wedding announcement. Yes, a wedding announcement. Seriously, think about it? Then tell me who is in need of medication.

What do you mean by calling the man a sleazy hobag? You put the phrase out there. Define your term and cite some examples. Stand by what you wrote. Who is this collective "we" and why can't you marry like Alan? Are you barred from crossing state or international borders?

Well, it would require a partner first, I would assume.

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

Wow, etoile, you're really having a bad day, eh?

It was a humorous reference to the countless posts complaining about how we gays are not allowed to marry while others, who end up divorcing after 55 hours of marriage, or being married 8 times, etc., etc., can.

"oh- never mind." Get it? No, why would you. You clearly don't get much.

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

" Oh please - that sleazy little hobag can get married and WE CAN'T??? "

There's no humor in calling someone a sleazy little hobag. Pedal and deflect, pedal and deflect, pedal, pedal, pedal. A gay man marrying another man knocks that whole humorous reference of gays not marrying more than a little false and flat. Get it?

PS - My day is going great, in fact once I finish my coffee I'm meeting and spending the day with someone I love and who loves me also, not spending it online day and night, hour after empty hour.
Rest in peace, Iflitifloat.

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

I spent a good portion of my day yesterday with someone special too - just didn't feel insecure enough (nor does it happen so seldom that I have to) to announce it here.

Have fun!!

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

I love how this thread was just below the one regarding gay-marriage.

Well, at least it was. Oh well, I guess I ruined that one.

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

Etoile is absolutely right in calling Rath out on yet another use of her mythical "we." I'd love to hear what it was Rath MEANT, but she ain't talking, which is what she does when she can't explain herself.

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

Incidentally, I had a dream about you last night, Namo. You were my lover, if you can believe that. Actually, the guy in your avatar was my lover, but I called him Namo all the same. He also had your personality. Anyway, we were at my apartment and my brother and his estranged wife showed up, and it was just the four of us. Nothing exciting happened, really. We gave them my room and we crashed on the sofa, watching cartoons all night. Later, we four went to the subway and just hung out. That's all I remember.

Were you making love to Namo on Antarctica on Oscar night while a snubbed Jennifer Hudson looks on???

LOL!

Tiff, I had both dreams last night, but not simultaneously. I think the Jennifer-Hudson-Oscar-snub dream was first, though.

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

I couldn't get past the second sentence of your above post, S&M. I can't believe I'm the first person in your life to break this news to you, but nobody finds hearing about other people's dreams interesting. Nobody. Not even therapists.

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

1) You pay your therapist. 2) Your therapist is bored out of your therapist's mind as you detail every dull milisecond of the dreams that fascinate you.

There. Now you know.

Obviously Rath doesn't know how that works. How else would you explain the TRULY banal Rathy is a Goddess threads?

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

Actually, it seems the problem around here is an overabundance of PMS.

Really, people, is it that hard to imagine what your life might be if you just put Rath on ignore and didn't have to have your gentle sensibilities assaulted by her daily evils?

A series of what appears to be random people having one sided conversations that don't have anything to do with the thread topic that's listed?

re: Alan Cumming to tie the knot!

It's official. The couple has wed, and I wish them a bright and loving future together.

I find Alan Cumming to be an incredible talent in everything I've seen and heard him perform, be it comedy, theater, film, or audio books. As a person I've always found him to be intelligent, sweet and generous. I take exception with anyone who so blatantly and undeservingly insults him. Insulting performers seems a sport with some here.

So for Rath, I'm not the one with insecure feelings on this board. I'm not the one needing constant attention and validation posting endlessly and repetitively in thread, after thread, after thread, after thread, after thread, day after day, after day, after day, after day. My ego isn't that fragile, nor does it need constant stroking. I post my plans for one simple reason. Amusement. I find entertainment in watching you repeatedly seethe resentment towards those possessing something you don't have. It's almost tangible, it's so palpable. You are surly at other's happiness, like those, "...bastards who screw up my weekend..." by having a wedding. You whine, complain, and bitch about even the simplest of things, like not being paid when you have a day off for a holiday, yet sulking because you work the day after a holiday. Gee, perhaps you could go back to that temp job where you had to race to Kinkos on your lunch break so you could feed your online obsession of posting. You bitched about the payroll at both, you bitch about your lack of funds, you bitch about your schedule. Does nothing make you happy? Ever wonder why so many refer to you as Rath and not your full screen name, or actual name, both on and off the board?

I know, it's your online persona and your sarcasm just doesn't translate. It's all in fun for those who get it. [Is this where I use the * rolls eyes* * yawns* and smiley/winky face ?]

Who is in need of medication?
