I'm with Jane. Modeling isnt about the public...I think shes trying to find a way to keep the show relevant. The show is now on Friday night, for goodness sake. Not an enviable time slot.

I think the point that Tyra is trying to make with "Brianboy" and the social media stuff is that models need a good public image.

I think that may be her excuse for her desperate attempt to make the show trendy, but there's no truth in it whatsoever. Public opinion has very little to do with a model's career. And it certainly should have nothing to do with judging amateur models. If they wanted to incorporate social media for whatever godawful asinine reason, they should have done the same thing as Project Runway and let people play along during the episode and post the results live. Or choose a fan favorite for the finale. But giving the viewers a percentage of the "point system", air time, and a "social media liaison" makes the judges far less relevant and the contest itself devoid of any useful content. The show is trying WAY too hard and all these stupid changes absolutely REEK of Kelly Cutrone. Even the new theme song is garbage. If I were Nigel and the Jays, I would've jumped ship as well.

The show is on Friday night now because of it's rapidly deteriorating format. If she doesn't fix it next season, I'm done with the show. It's pretty pointless now. I'd much rather watch The Face, even if it does have Naomi Campbell acting like a diva idiot. Everything else about the show is far superior.

I agree. I think Cutrone is ruining the series, and Tyra's letting her. Even her critiques are nonsensical. "It just doesnt do it for me" is not a critique.

I dont mind the addition of the men, however. I like to see the differences in the models, what their strengths and weaknesses are, etc...and the men just add another dimension.

Also, Johnny Wujek stinks and is no Jay Manuel!

I cannot believe they brought Alex back! She was not impressive and read much older than she is. Thanks Brianboy!

Cutrone is the worst decision this show has ever made, and they've made plenty of bad decisions over the years. When she first started she was just a total bitch. Now, you can tell they told her to be a little bit nicer so every so often she fakes a smile (and I mean that bitch FAKES a smile) and tries to say something nice. She's so awful and I don't know one person who understands exactly what she's doing on that show. They might as well just have a dog sitting in that chair who barks at the models since they'd get about as much out of it as they do now.
