I actually like her much better than Susan Boyle for some reason, of course I was never one for the Boyle fan wagon, she's fab.
I like the richness in her voice.
Regardless, they are certainly going to market her as America's Susan Boyle.
Funny thing, I actually know two people that are going to appear on this show. One a retired elementary principal that sings and one, a former student, that will be juggling with his troupe.
The fact she's being marketed as 'the next Susan Boyle?' makes her unable to be the actual next Susan Boyle. SuBo was an unpredictable phenomenon, this lady is only rising to fame because she's being compared to her.
I'm not a SuBo fan, but her 'I Dreamed...' performance was really good for an amateur, but of course she got famous for being 'ugly and weird' yet talented. This lady is just shout singing with an ok voice, but really the pity parade is in full force here. Do they not feel a bit embarrassed with totally exploiting their lives as a gimmicky sob story? I mean I'm surprised we haven't had a kid dying of swine flu take to the stage tap dancing cus they always wanted to be like 'Fwed Astaiwe'.
I doubt they will find anyone that comes close to SuBo this season/at all, or even Shaheen Jafargholi. But by god they will scout the country, pay for talented good looking people to undergo uglifying plastic surgery...everything, for next season.
At first glance she seems far more talented than Susan Boyle.

I feel badly that this woman has been mistreated, but I didn't like her voice at all. She was yelling.
I agree....yelling.
