I'm super behind on American Horror Story. I feel like half of their relevance comes from their subway ads. Every 8 months or so I look at something very artistic and very disturbing on the wall as I head towards the six train and think "american horror storys back.'

Wow! That was a amazing finale! I lived for this season! I don't care what other say, this was the season of redemption for me with the show!

 This season is over already?  How many episodes?  I don't get to watch until it comes out on dvd.  I'm currently watching Cult right now.  I will watch episode 5 &6 tonight.  I usually enjoy AHS, but Cult is so far, really awful.  The writing, the acting, awful.

10 episodes, which is the norm lately. The started with 13 episodes per season for a few years, then gradually dropped it down to 10, which is fine with me. I think it's when it goes on too long that it begins to meander and get stupid.

This season was AWFUL. Just a nonsensical stupid theme park ride through the assanine mess that is this series.

Jordan, Is it worse than Cult?  I usually enjoy Sarah Paulson, but her acting in Cult is awful.  And if Evan Peters bugs out his eyes any further, he's going to have permanent eye damage.

So funny you said that because I was watching this with a friend and said “Ryan Murphy has the amazing ability to make great actors bad”. And worse than Cult? I have no idea. They both just turned so stupid it’s hard to even judge them.

The season peaked with the return of the witches at the end of episode 3, and then it was all downhill from there. It was a weird mix of episodes that were completely fan service (the return to Murder House), and then episodes that dragged on and focused on plot points that ended up being irrelevant to the season as whole (why did we need a whole episode about how Michael got his robotic Mead?).

Also, the ending of the series completely undid a lot of the fan service elements, like everything that happened in the Murder House episode.

Very happy I bought season 8 while in Bali recently--as only cost me $1.20.

I got my monies worth.

I kept saying[to myself]-'now who the f...is that?'-the witches all looked somewhat the same, didn't know Michael from the hairdresser and the time line and sequence was so confusing so just went along for the ride.

Some great performances from most but pretty boy was as menacing as a drag queen without the drag.

So the only way to kill the devil is with 4 tyres and some road rage--Apocalypse avoided.

I thought it was a beautiful disaster. I find it fascinating to see bar far they can go off the rails each season. They really outdid themselves this year. Completely ridiculous entertainment that I was mesmerized by.
