She and Simon both said he has the talent, he just needs the confidence to go with it.

He's just lacking in performance experience. I think it's great that he is so raw and if he continues to stay in competition I think it will be cool to watch him grow.

Haha Tom, that was exactly what I thought about Alex's hair.......Carol Brady (it was REALLY ugly when she wore it also!). But I do like Alex and I think he has alot of potential.

Yeah, I could actually use the word "swooning" when describing how Kara was looking at Simon last night.

and yeah, Kara's acting in love with Simon. probably the way they want her to be.

I guess that's just part of her look.....I personally wouldn't want my hair that light but it sort of works on her.

I disagree with the judges re Paige. No, it wasn't a song which features her ability to the greatest degree, but it sure was a song which she put over perfectly and gets you going. For me, it showed that she could definitely be a success, win or lose this season.

Haha, she may already have offers!

Ok, Siobhan v. Crystal finale RIGHT NOW please! Do not care about the rest. hehe

Seriously though, they're AMAZING!

Crystal's incredible and authentic, and Siobhan with that VOICE! Gotta say, she gives Adam a damn good run for his money with those glory notes, and that is NOT at all easy to do! :P

Crystal is setting herself apart from the rest. Lily, Paige, and Siobhan are a step below her, but above the others. Haely needs to leave NOW, but probably won't.

And while I know they don't sound the same, Crystal strikes me as a true artist along the lines of Eva Cassidy.

The quality of vocal technique is just atrocious this season. These kids need some basic training. So many last night were flat. I am losing interest in this season.

My heart is a little broken for Haeley Vaughn. I thought she would last a little longer too.

I do agree Crystal is by far the most flawless at this stage. But I reeeally really love Siobhan too, and actually kind of love that she hasn't had a full on *moment* yet! She's starting out GREAT and notably better than pretty much everyone but Crystal, but she's still got some growth in her.

Her voice is just absolutely killer, and all she needs to do is work on really making her softer vocals are as consistent and strong as her belting- which should be easily done with a little help from the vocal coaches- and on figuring out what kind of artist she would want to be post-Idol so she doesn't end up going too all over place in her performances.

So yeah, I just think she's fantastic to begin with, but also has some real potential to get even BETTER too! Which is why, as FLAWLESS and gorgeous as Crystal was last night, Siobhan is probably still my fav over all :)


Lily is alright for me...she definitely knows exactly who she is as an artist, which is good, but I don't think her voice is actually all that strong. I dunno.. I can't quite get into her for some reason. And Paige.. meh. She's alright, she's cute, but definitely not on the same level as Siobhan for me. Actually I'd say if anyone else is nearing the same level as Siobhan and Crystal, it might just be Katelyn! Her The Scientist was really beautiful
