The worst season ever...EVER!! I don't even like the winner, Crystal. ...but why oh WHY won't I be able to stop watching?!!
clever, I know I'll still watch it too. In the hopes that maybe it will get better.
I'll watch it too, but if it gets worse, I hope it gets bad enough to be good.

See my avi.
I don't buy that Crystal was just sad for the ones who were sent packing. She didn't even crack a smile when they told her she had made it into the top 12. I'm telling you, there's something seriously wrong with the girl. And I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if she dropped out of the competition before being eliminated. Although I think she's the most talented of the bunch, I sincerely doubt she's going to be the next American Idol. Not with her sullen demeanor and complete lack of enthusiasm. Rest assured, if it gets close, the Producers will make sure she doesn't win.
Well tonight is the first night on the big stage.
Bring it on! God I hope they step up their games.
I have to say that I am not excited. Everytime I think about Tim Urban being in the top 12 I get furious. The only thing that could make that bearable would be if they made him perform in a speedo.
Vote for the Worst is championing both Time Urban and Paige Miles.

Page apparently has a throat infection.
So we should continue to expect nothing special from her.
I still don't know any of their names. I was sad to see little mullet boy go, he was an awesome in his dorkiness. Crystal, she the one with the dreds right?
Yes, Crystal has the dreds.
I agree, Evie. Alex Lambert (mullet boy) had the best voice of all the guys, in my opinion. He was pretty raw and inexperienced when it came to performing but I think it would have be great to see him progress over the weeks. I felt like he had to the potential to be top 4 or 5. The fact that Tim Urban and Aaron Kelly made it to the top 12 ahead of Alex is absurd.

^heck yes! haha
I mean granted last year Adam, Allison, and Kris were really the only seriously great ones, and this year there IS Crystal and Siobhan, but still.
I think what made last year so awesome, for me at least, was that there was so much diversity even just between Adam, Kris, and Allison. This year, even Crystal who is the stand out is still in the same vein as most of the other contestants. She just does the "soulful guitar playing singer/songwriter" thing way BETTER than the others.
Siobhan has fantastic potential and is definitely the most unique of the bunch, but she still doesn't quite have the star power that Adam has just yet. Her voice is amazing, and she's adorable, and she makes interesting song choices, but she's just not quite at the performance level Adam is. She's, well, probably about how Adam was when he was 19! haha. Which bodes very well for her potential, it's just at the moment it's not quite enough to override the dullness of everyone else.
And there's no one like Allison. No truly powerhouse teen who is mature beyond her years. LOTS of teenagers and young people this year, but no one as mature as Allison.
And then you had all three of them together, which just made for such an awesome, varied, and exciting season!
Whereas this year it's... blegh. Crystal and Siobhan are my only hopes haha
I haven't been paying too much attention, but I saw an ad for the Top 12 the other day. I was surprised to see Tim there. Honestly, I think he's one of the weakest people in the competition.

I just hope Page doesn't get a sympathy vote because she's sick. Because I really don't think she's very good at all.
I think Tim is getting some of the fangirly vote.
I didn't love that the way the judges did (Mike)
Me either, Jane. I love the disco factor of that song, and the arrangement changed it for the worse (in my opinion).
Something about it reminded me of Stevie Wonder's Higher Ground.
Didi just put me to sleep.
