I know it is so un-PC of me, but Scott drives me nuts. And it's not his eyes. It's his mouth. He doesn't move his mouth right.
Thanks.
That was the most emotion I've seen from a boy on the show.
Scott who? I just got home and missed the show. Who was eliminated? I didn't know there was a Scott on there.
The blind guy from last season. He and Matt from last season sang a duet, both playing grand pianos.
Oh, ok. thanks!

Worst Top 12 Ever.
I don't think I'm going to watch. 12 performers, only 2 performers I find compelling. Half of them I actively dislike.
If I hear about a good performance coming out of this I'll look it up online, but I'm checking out for the full episodes.
Sad that Lilly is gone. She wasn't great, but she was one of the better girls.
I didn't watch, but I'm surprised about Lilly. I thought she'd make it really far. Bummer. Disappointed about Katelyn, too. Her performance this week wasn't that great, but I've liked her since the beginning.
Paige should have been gone, but I knew they wouldn't have no African American girls in the top 12.
Can someone tell me what is wrong with Crystal? Is she sick? Depressed? Or just embarrassed to be on such a lame show? She looks downright miserable. She's probably the most talented one there, but it saddens me to see someone filled with so much pain and/or angst.
I don't think Crystal is depressed or embarrassed (except for maybe those canned group performances). If you are talking about her demeanor last night, I think she was genuinely sad to see some people eliminated.
I was sad for Alex Lambert. He's the guy that I think has the best voice and the most potential. He should have made it instead of Tim Urban, at the very least.

I'm getting tired of her somber attitude. It's coming off as she's too cool for the show, even if that isnt it. She's very talented...maybe she's sad about her missing teeth?
I am not sad about Lily going and I agree with Simon that Paige has more potential than the girl with the curly blonde hair.
People that seem too excited or entitled to be there always seem to turn people off and get criticized for being too cocky.
I guess there is no happy medium. People will always find a reason to dislike you.
She does try to perk up during those dreadful group numbers...I dont know how any of them get through those crapfests.
Can't blame the people getting cut for her face. Crystal had that look from the moment the show started last night.

I was surprised that Lilly was eliminated. She was quirky and had a more than decent voice. I didn't see her winning, but she should have gone further. Sorry, but Paige sucked the other night singing "Smile" and should have gone last night. Katelyn singing "I Feel The Eath Move" wasn't so horrible. The other young girl, Katie, who sang the Kelly Clarkson song should have gone too. I could care less about the guys.
I agree that Paige sucked the other night, but I don't agree that she should go because of that one bad song choice. Her performance the week before that was outstanding and I think she has star quality. I guess I'll know more next week when I see her again.
Read Michael Slezak's recap. I really enjoy what he has to say.
He also points out Crystal's apparent saddness and that she mouthed the words, "This is f***ed up" during the elimination when Katelyn was sent home rather than Paige. I didn't notice that but I find it humorous.

I read both columns you posted so far, Tom, and I agree, I like his writing, whether or not I agree with his opinions.
This second article prompted me to consider why and who is eliminated each week.
For one-I don't totally buy that the voting is accurately reported. How can we possibly know the truth there?
Assuming it IS an honest vote, you have to consider who is doing the voting, how many times, etc. Perhaps the viewers with the most discriminating and sophisticated taste don't vote. I don't. (putting myself in that category, lol).
Lots of little girls and boys are voting for who they think is cute.
And if I'm right in suspecting the votes are not accurately reported, I'm sure the producers have their agendas in determining who they'll keep.
I can only watch shows like this for entertainment value and play along with the voting game for fun.
"I agree that Paige sucked the other night, but I don't agree that she should go because of that one bad song choice."
Janey...it's all about the song choice. Don't you think the guys and girls who were eliminated it was because of their song choice? You only need one bad song choice to get eliminated. Don't you believe that Lilly's previous song choices showed how strong of a singer she was? Seemed America did not like this weeks song choice and booted her.
No boobs, I really can't agree 100%. If a contestant is borderline, then I agree, the next bad song choice should be the end. But if they were exemplary prior to the bad song choice, I think they deserve another chance.
All this is moot anyway, boobs, considering how I feel about the voting!
Yeah, I officially canceled American Idol on my DVR last night. All of my early favorites have been eliminated, and just I really don't care anymore. Crystal is good, but I don't like her enough to keep watching.
Seriously, worst top 12 ever.
I think I'll still watch Idolatry, though. It might be too hard to give that up.
