the song was boring, but I still love Didi <3 SO glad she didn't totally lose it :)
For some reason tonight I'm not agreeing with the judges at all.
See, now I liked Gimme Shelter. I liked the guy's voice!
I like him, and he does have a nice voice, but I agree with Kara (it must be the apocalypse) that it needed more passion. That song is pretty badass, but that performance...wasn't.
I just can't get on the Andrew board. His whole look with the nerdy glasses and the neck tat just doesn't mesh for me.
I always have a problem when they have some iconic group as the theme. It isn't possible to approximate the greatness or strength of a song which was done by a group with a great band and perfect sound, thanks to a studio.
None of these kids can do the songs any justice.
I like Katie a lot as a person. She's so cute. But she really has a dreadful voice.
She's a hometown girl, so I'm a bit biased, but I think she has a great voice. I like that she's an old soul and I wish the judges would stop ragging on her because of it. She also looked gorgeous!
She just sounds so in need of voice lessons. She's always drifting off-key and she has the goat vibrato going on.
Siobhan sounded a little rough to me, and I love her.
Speaking of vibratos, I'm not a fan of Tim Urban's. I hope he leaves this week.
I don't think this Lee guy is in the least bit hot, but that kind of made me swoon.
Dear Tim Urban,
Please stop singing. Are you over 18? I think you are so I would like to recommend you enter into the gay porn business. I'm making a movie myself actually (as luck would have it) and would like to offer you the lead! Please give me a call and we can discuss. Just stop singing.
Sincerely,
J.C.
I think Crystal did it again!!!
And I must say that Crystal's a little cooler than Simon is!
Crystal is amazing, but she seems that she would rather be having a root canal. I'd rather see her play a small venue. She just doesn't seem right for the competition.

I think the only thing that doesn't seem right with Crystal is that she's over the whole bull$hit aspect of it all. She doesn't play the game and good for her. Maybe she's too mature for AI, who knows?
AI was so much better tonite. The big stage helped a LOT.
Siobhan and Crystal are still my faves. And Tim and Lee are still dreamy.
For me, Crystal is by far the most talented in the group, but if I had to bet money on someone, it would be Siobhan. Among the men, Lee has a ton of upside.
Crystal is in a league of her own. Siobhan is my second favorite. But I totally disagree with the judges that Siobhan outshone Crystal tonight. Sometimes I wonder what the judges are hearing. And I also can't stand when they bring up the rehearsal performance, as they did with Andrew. They should be judging the live performance; not making a case with the audience that they were better in rehearsal.
On those lines, I also think Kara and Simon did Crystal a great disservice when they had to mention that Crystal acts like she has the competition won. That could affect the voting, if I believed in the voting. So I'm glad when Crystal made a comment setting them straight.

Tonight was... strange. haha
Siobhan and Crystal definitely remain my top two though of course :P
It was just weird because Siobhan was definitely quite vocally off, and yet I LOVED the arrangement and loved the whole feel of the performance so much that it was still over all really awesome for me! First off, I felt this was the first time where she really showed what kind of artist she might be outside of Idol, and it's a really awesome one! She's got this whole dramatic opera/rock thing going on, and I thought it meshed really well. I can't WAIT to hear the studio recording of it!
Crystal, on the other hand, was vocally wonderful as always, but a little on the boring side this time. It wasn't BAD by any means, I just found Siobhan's more memorable and engaging.
I also really enjoyed Didi tonight :)
I didn't feel compelled to vote last night.
I thought Crystal was great. The best of the night for me. I don't think it was her best performance. I think we have yet to really see that. You could tell that the judges are starting to temper their positive feedback to her. I guess they want to avoid the early favorite backlash that always seems to happen.
Siobhan was fine but hardly the second coming that she has been made out to be. I find her performance style awkward. I don't like looking at her. I didn't feel like the performance was happening until that note at the end. It's impressive that she can belt that high but it borders on a scream...a la Madame Lambert. It's impressive the first couple of times you hear it but used too often it gets annoying.
I found Big Mike annoying as usual. As Simon said, he was very corny...cruise ship quality.
For the first time, I actually thought Paige gave a servicable vocal.
Tim Urban sucked as usual but I am sure he will be safe.
I was pretty indifferent to the rest.
The bottom three will probably be Paige, Tim and Andrew with Andrew or Paige going home.
Siobhan and Crystal were the only two performers I liked. I thought Siobhan was doing great until she did that horrid scream, but she redeemed herself for me with the very last part of the song. Crystal seemed angry, but maybe it's true what someone just said, she's over the BS of it all. I hope that doesn't hurt her.
