did they really just do an "edited for content" version of shout to the lord????

Heart and Annie Lennox were the best things about the night.
This Idol group can not sing together. Yikes. The tour will be awesomely bad.
I liked Fergie's song before Heart came in. I also liked Mariah. Not so much Miley Cyrus.
The Idols absolutely cannot sing together. They are the worst lot of any season. Even bad seasons (Season 3!!!!) had good group numbers. This year, awful! And, they can't move, either. The best thing about the Gives Back show was the opening with the vocally enhanced Idols and the wonderful So You Think You Can Dance? gang!
I found the evening enjoyable with the exception of Seasons of Love. That was definitely a bust.
I guess they ran over because my DVR turned off after 2 and half hours.
I loved the song, Praying for Time that Carrie Underwood sang. She looked and sounded amazing as usual.
AOL has an article about how TIVO has accurately predicted who will be sent home for the first few weeks, and they are predicting that S'yesha will get the boot tonight. Their predictions are based on whose performances get replayed, and whose get fast-forwarded.

Just saw the Carrie perf. - she is a STAR. Great delivery of that song - beautiful and understated, really told the story... Hope this season's contestants took notes.
The only thing about last night was the contestants only sang two songs and they were both duds.
They really need a new choreographer, or they need to teach those kids how to dance.
Honestly, all the performances except Carrie bugged me. Annie was weird. Heart was fun, but I didn't get it. Fergie was fun. Mariah has a great voice, except when she hits those high notes, my dog starts wailing. Obviously, he doesn't like Mariah.
according to crazy Tivo Statistics that have bene right the last 4 weeks, syesha is going home tonight. But we shall see.
Bye Syesha.
Why are they singing this song? I didn't realize that AI was a religious show.
they're singing "shout to the lord" again, but this time, they're not editing it. interesting...
Anyone else more than just surprised? I mean they just forced the Idols to state their religious beliefs...
What if some of them aren't Christian? Did they have a choice? I am VERY surprised they are doing it, and it doesn't make me feel very comfortable...
It doesn't make me comfortable, either. Especially since they were probably given no choice.
I thought the same thing last night. I was shocked they chose that song. I hope they are all Christians since they have been forced to sing it twice now.
Yeah, I also have a feeling they were given no choice in the matter
I wonder what made them change their minds? I am of the opinion, that if you're going to sing a song on tv, sing a song on tv. This includes profanity and religious references.
It still goes back to an odd choice of song

It made me think of David Archuleta and his trying to make it seem like he cut the first verse of "Imagine" because he liked the other verse better. BS. It's because the first verse has the lyric "no religion too"....just be honest.
Seacrest: "But who will have the lowest number of votes? We'll find out after the break."
So, I think that they may be a hint that they aren't sending anyone home.
Why did Ryan have to say that? That was pretty cold...
What a jerk, he should not have mentioned last year, if they were still kicking someone off. That was just cruel. How did all the girls survive again?
