Perhaps role models should come from areas where behavior can be copied. Instead of the music or professional sports industries, how about lawyers, doctors, scientists? Peace Corps instead of reality TV? Fight malaria, not boredom.

Exactly my point wonkit. As I said, what if your kid can't sing and dance and doesn't look sexy. Give them something to strive for that is within their realm of possiblity. thank you.

People are inspired by celebrities not nesecarily because they want to achieve stardom, but because they want to achieve success. A little girl who wants to be a lawyer or a CEO or any of the professions that you mentioned can look up to someone like Beyonce and say if she was able to accomplish her dream so grandly through her abilities and hard work, then I can certainly can accomplish mine.
