Good point, such as blank posts and making disgusting comments about sasha and malia as phyllis did.

Phyllis, I LOVE YOU. You are a star!
Jane, you scared me there! LOL
Oh, sorry Stock, I got that one mixed up with this one:
Janetry and get it together! its the same picture, only a longer full bodyshot
LOL, that one is just as scary............I can't blame Beyonce for wanting those pictures to disappear!
I'm glad that this thread turned so silly. Much better.
but back to topic...
I didn't take the time to carefully read the Yahoo letter. I'm older. I will be dead sooner than the rest of you, so time is a factor...
Specifically addressing Beyonce's body suit however, it seems to me that Beyonce was not trying to support any positive view regarding "no shame" when it comes to women's bodies (or her own). If she were, she would unabashedly expose her body - but in this case, she didn't.
She wore a costume that is meant to titillate (HA! see what I did there?), confuse and/or deceive. It's meant to fool the audience (like trompe l'oeil) and make them question if what they're looking at is real. Most likely, she wore the costume to "excite" them.
Without input from Beyonce herself to explain why she chose that bodysuit, I'm trying to refrain from drawing any conclusion, positive or negative but to be honest, I'm leaning more towards negative in my mind.
The one thing I know for sure is that if she wanted to make a statement of "self-assuredness" for women, and "comfort in her own skin" ('ya know... "role model" stuff), she should have used her own skin.
I still wouldn't condone it (my own personal morality), but I would have more respect and appreciation of her choice.
To me it's like wearing a sandwich board, painted with an artist's representation of my body, and shouting, "Look at me! I LOVE my body!".

I think it's funny that someone says "back on topic" and then says they didn't read the article that sparked the topic. But can still write seven paragraphs about what they didn't read.
