Posted: 7/14/05 at 8:41pmCan you guys name actors on Broadway who could play a role really well if given a certain one? I think Roger Bart could play any role. He went from playing a dog, to playing a gay designer(at least I think that's what Charmen Ghia is. I don't remember), to playing Roger Bannister in The Stepford Wives and lots of other roles. I think he has an amazing voice too! I think one of my friend's is going to be the next Roger Bart!!

Posted: 7/14/05 at 11:52pmI hate to go on the bandwagon, but Butz really is incredible. The suave, sexy Roger and nebbish, crude Freddy are about as far off as it gets. While on the DRS track, I think Joe Cassidy deserves some credit for his turns as Freddy and Andre.

Literally he was pure "genius" in the last role I saw him play. The man can do it all, can play any role, and can be male or female.

Two words: John Lithgow. He can play your friend, your enemy everything. Just see his film credit

Definately Raul Esparza, all his parts are so different from each other and he does everything amazingly!

Posted: 7/16/05 at 3:53pmi do not think jefferson mays could play any role. i think raul is a much safer bet. and also, i think if skin color had no effect that both phylicia rashad and audra mcdonald could play any character. comedic, tragic, dramatic, old, young, sassy, deep... obviously there are some roles that african-american actresses cannot play, but if that wasn't the case...
