mmousefan, are you the same poster who had a meltdown when people criticized Michael Jackson? You seem to be taking this JUST as personally.
yep, you and the 5 y/o and 11 y/o do have a lot in common...which posts were theirs? I could have sworn there was a "student" forum somewhere on this site....
Of course kids that age naturally repeat cliches...if that's as far as your thinking goes, enjoy yourself. Just don't feel the need to share with more mature thinkers and writers.
Actually, mmousefan---I totally "get" why you like Annie. It's fine.
Now... You "get" why I don't, or shut the hell up.
Nope, BLUEROSES, I'm a poster who under another handle was great friends with you. I don't take ANNIE personally, I take defensiveness of cliched thoughts and stereotypes seriously.
"Just don't feel the need to share with more mature thinkers and writers."
*In my best Homer Simpson voice* Well, ooh la la! Look at Miss Fancy Pants with her big words!
Crap Mouse,
Could you BE more condecending?
You claim to be mature, but you like the movie? How mature can a 12 year old be?
YOU were "great friends" with blueroses???
I find that TERRIBLY hard to believe. If you "knew" blue, even at ALL on these boards, you wouldn't be ranting your fool head off with such venom.
Tell us, mm, why did you change "handles?"
"Breaker 1-9, we got us here a CONVOY!"
And DO remember... the sun WILL come out tomorrow!
Bet your bottom dollar.
Smelly ones at that, Miss Penny. They need darning too.
Snooty, smelly, striped socks.
MsMouse has also posted in a thread about a Walt Disney musical on the Main Board, telling them that thhe topic should be on this board (Even though the thread is over a year old).

again, exagerrating doesn't help your debate. I asked why it wasn't on this board, didn't "tell" anything. It's a year old, but got posted on by someone else today, and seemed somewhat related to my post today on this board.
I was indeed cyberfriends with BLUE ROSES a while back, not that it's any of your business, and I changed handles today to fit the thread I started today on this board.
I won't comment on the "condescending" accusation. The hypocrisy goes without saying. As to "venomous", an objective reading of this thread will clearly indicate who has been resorting to ad hominem reasoning, and to what extent.
Great Homer impression. His writers use satire. Try it sometime.
OMG! It's HD2 and Richard Thomas Fan!!!
Wow!!!
Now, go away.
"I won't comment on the "condescending" accusation."
Why not? That's how you come across.
look up "hypocritical", your royal We-ness.
You're number 1.
(And I wish you could see which finger I'm using, duchebag)
You aren't answering because you have no answer. You ARE condesending.
keep that kind of stuff to PM. It has nothing to do with the topic at hand and there's no need to pollute the thread with it. And PS: it's just as cliched, from the gesture to the misspelled derogatory phrase (which also happens to be misogynist, surprising from someone claiming diva status). There's plenty of answer there: that you won't (not can't, but won't) see it is the very point of this discussion.
Can we stop this fight?
Anyone else hate the new songs in the film? "DUMB DOG," "WE GOT ANNIE," and "LET'S GO TO THE MOVIES"?

I used to sing "dumb dog" to my dog all the time. And Lets go to the Movies? Try singing that with a group of friends on the way to a movies and see if its not fun. We Got Annie? No I dont like that one as much, mostly because it was too painful to watch Ann Reinking's out-of-place dancing during that scene.
Not particularly fond of DOG and GOT, but MOVIES I think makes a great production number that shows off Reinking really well in the context.
I saw Annie on stage when I was 4. I listened to the OBCR (on LP) daily for years. I saw this movie when I was 10. I hated it then and still do. I didn't like that they changed the plot. I hated how many songs they changed. Annie without Tomorrow is just wrong. Especially when you replace with the ridiculous "Dumb Dog" song. I also hated that they took out NYC- that is still my favorite song from the show and the movie song they replaced it with was obnoxious and unnecessary. There wasn't a reason to take out these songs; they just did. If they're going to alter something so well-known, they should come up with some damn good excuses for why it had to be changed and none of their changes were justifiable.
The TV movie was so much better.
Plus, Andrea McArdle is in it!!!
Oh, GOD, orangeskittles, now you've done it.
Prepared to be called a "bad writer," immature, ignorant, condescending and downright MEAN.
You must agree with them or they will GET you. They'll make you cry too.
I'm tired of this thread. It's boring, infantile and feeble-minded.
HEY... KINDA LIKE ANNIE 1982!!!

I guess its just that since I saw the 1982 movie first, and watch 85billion times before I even knew there was another version of Annie.
I'm really curious as to what I'd think of the movie now if I sat down and watched it. I'm positive I have not seen it since maybe 1985 or so.
I miss NYC in the big-screen version too. That's a great number! Loved McArdle doing the Rising Star solo in the TV version...really fun.
