Another Voter ID Law Bites the Dust — Page 2

It's one of the simple lessons in life that rich people attempt to keep poor people from voting. Maybe Roxy dosen't get it? Generally, I don't like communicating with heartless strangers, but Roxy, you take the ever loving cake, the guy so proud of his nationalism but so averse to fairness. I'm guessing you disgust you.

There are countless rural and nearly desolate counties in the nation that lack public transportation, including the one in which my home town in NC is situated. There's also a generation of elderly folks around still in those areas whose births were likely recorded in a bible somewhere if at all. I'm personally acquainted with scores of folks from the most rural parts of the Carolinas and Georgia who neither fly nor have credit cards. They often depend on the kindness of younger family members or church members to get to and fro medical appointments, banks, the one grocery store in town, and polling places. The situation is worse if they are disabled. Disenfranchisement is a big deal and economics should never be the root cause of it.

John Oliver did an amazingly done piece regarding voting and voter IDs. Some of the stuff that he pointed out is just plain scary but eye opening and pertinent to this thread.
