I've tried desperately countless times, but it only seems to last about two days. I've never been able to get into the habit.

I do, but I have to be in a certain mood to want to write in it. So the whole thing basically says the same things over and over.
I have filled up two journals, but since I started college I haven't been as good at writing...
I only write things down when I'm mad, so my journal consists of a whole lot of "so-and-so is a huge BITCH and I HATE HER." It's pretty useless.
Jeez, jag, you can just tell me to my face you know.
I've tried, but I can never keep it up. I'm lazy.

Haha, the same for me. And then said friend who I've made up with stumbles across the entry and brings the whole thing up again...

I keep a livejournal and a real, paper journal. Sadly, my real journal has been neglected lately.
I've had the livejournal since 2001 and the real journal since I was 12.

Yeah, but it's not a diary-type thing. I basically just write down quotes and ideas.

I didn't used to, and then I decided I NEEDED to actually deal with some of the crap I'd just been ignoring, and started a LJ...it's really helped. I only write when I feel a need to. But good and bad things go into it.
And before anyone asks, I keep it private, and only my counselor reads it, so that if I seem to be going postal, someone is aware.
I used to, but I don't have the time to keep one now.
I used to keep an online journal (and I think ckeaton was my biggest fan), but the server I was using crashed. I lost about 3.5 years of journalling. I was heart-broken. That was about a year ago, and I haven't been able to start again since. I just can't do it again.
I keep a terribly neglected LJ and also a paper "diary" that only gets written in when I have a revelation I want to record.
I keep a journal. It's stored in my laptop and I consistently back it up because my previous PC crashed and I lost some very important entries.
I love to journal it's very therapeutic. I would never keep one online though - a journal is supposed to be private. I wouldn't want complete strangers all up in my business.
I def keep a journal, but it's mostly fragments of ideas I want to use in my writing someday.
I do they can be very helpful in general though if you take it seriously.

I've kept a paper journal since middle school. There will be months in which I will neglect it, but it's really something I always come back to. Sometimes it helps keep me sane. It serves as a scrapbook as well sometimes. I lurve my journal.
Posting here isn't enough?

I'm not sure I'm comfortable sharing all my fragile hopes and dreams with you pack of jackels. Plus, where else would I confess my undying love to Rath in secret?
I've always wanted to keep a journal with the normal entries, newspaper articles, pictures, etc . . . but I never actually got into it.
"Plus, where else would I confess my undying love to Rath in secret?"
AHAHAHA I KNEW IT!!!!
Mas a Menos...
I jot down ideas and notes...I write rants now and again for a blog...but generally no. I did and a number of times it wound up being read years later and totally out of context and did a whole lot of damage so I just quit writing stuff down.
