Any other Regents exams coming up?
I took Math A yesterday. It was rediculusly easy. One of the questions was like "For the sqare below draw all lines of symettry."
I took my lab pracitcal today for earth science, that was also easy, and on tues. I have the actual science regents.
(wow I can't spell)
I just took the SAT's on June 3rd. The English and writing sections weren't too bad, but the Math section was hard. Probably because I suck at Math and hate it lol. I can see my scores online in about a week so that should be interesting. A week ago I took a fake history MCAS section. All juniors had to take it. It wasn't bad and it was good that it didn't count.

For the most part the Regents are a joke...just crossing my finger that is the case for Physics on Thursday. To study for US or not to study, that is the question. Although...we kind of stop working after the AP exam...so I don't remember very much.
I took Math B last year, was there a big proof again? I remember taking that year...and going...whoa, why is there actualyly stuff from term one of math b that I took freshmen year and totally don't remember.
Haven't they been dumbing the math Regents down ever since the scandalous Math A one from like 3 years ago that an overwhelming amount of HS kids failed...so there was a ridiculously curve and a friend of mine with like a 70-something wounded up with a 90, and my 95 became and 99, so they wouldn't have to send everyone to summer school.
Have fun with earth science...oh how I miss science I totally understand.

I have the Earth Science Regents tomorrow morning at 7:50. I'm just about to go to a review session too. Talk about cramming the night before the exam...I hate Regents. I have four next year. Usually junior year is loaded with them, but for me, it's next year. Blah.
Know your reference tables. Most of the material is right there in front of you if you know how to use it. :)
Have fun...
Two more Regents to take, US tomorrow, Physics Thursday (which is officially my last Regents ever)...unless they don't give me AP Spanish for my Senior schedule, and then I'll just take Regents French...which I really don't want to do.
I took US today, I take Physics on Thursday.
Did anyone get their math B grade yet?

I got my Math A regents grade back. 70. Considering that I failed every quarter of math this year that's not bad.
As for the Earth Science Regents I thought the multiple choice was a little difficult but everything else was easy. We shall see.
Oh and Math B is what NY State calls the second portion, I guess you can call it,of your high school math eduaction.
Neddy: in NY all high schoolers have to take certain "regents exams", they're basically state-mandated finals that are a huge pain in the ass and you can't graduate without a certain number of tests and a certain grade on each.
Math B is the second math course given in NY. Geometry, Alegbra, and Trig are divided into two (cougharbitrarycough) courses; Math A, which is taken from 9th grade to the middle of 10th, and Math B which is taken from the middle of 10th grade to the end of 11th. Needless to say, NY is getting rid of this system shortly and Math will once again become "Math 1, Math 2, and Math 3."
I got a 76 on Math B speaking of which...and my hopes of going to Yale are flushed down the toilet.

I hate the way NYS sets up their Math courses. And now we're switching back to Geometry, Algebra, Trig and whatnot, and it's so confusing! I mean, we should have just stayed with the old system, it was much easier. Anyway, the Earth Science Regents were so simple. I knew my ESRT's like the back of my hand and I knew where to find everything, a lot of the test was on that. And I got a 23/23 on the Lab Practical part of it, so I was relieved to find that out.
The ESRT is a life saver. My teacher made sure we knew everytyhing on it. In fact he gave us a 150 question test all with questions that required the reference tables. I still have no idea what I got on the es regents though.
Physics was uber disgusting today. This was the first Regents where I didn't get to leave after two hours because I was still working on it. I'm not even sure I passed. o_0 Which was just ultimately tramatizing because I'm used to absolutely not trying and giving up...and still walking out with a 93. (Math B!) The curve just isn't ridiculous enough like it is for the other subjects.

ilovemydictionary, my teacher gave us an ESRT test also! It really helped me to get to know the tables better.
If only we got a Math reference table I'd be set. I just got back from the school and checked my grade. 86.
