Restating this (because I think I confused myself):
Ending a sentence in a preposition is not automatically wrong or right.
It is the type of sentence in which people shift words around just to avoid the ending preposition I was talking about. ("with whom", etc.)
You're talking about a sentence that is simply unclear because vital information is omitted.

I think I'm just driving myself crazy over this one, but it's something a former roommate of mine would say. When she was going to take a shower, she would say she was going to get one.

You know what my dad always says? "Darn rights!" I keep telling him it's not plural...
OK, he was born in China, but he came here when he was 11, so I don't think he can use the ESL excuse.

Something I've noticed lately is perplexing to me. A friend of mine has always pronounced the plural of the word "woman" the same as the singular. In other words, she never says "women." example-she might say "All the woman I know feel that way."
I was in a play with a girl recently who had trouble with that. The playwright had to correct her a few times before she got it in her line. She was from Korea--though she had grown up enough in Boston that she didn't have a Koran accent. I don't know if it had anything to do with her family's linguistic history or not.

JerseyGirl, she only has one ovary?
Punching her in both ovaries would just be silly and impractical. My fists aren't that big.
