With getting prostate cancer & having our trip to Paris @ Christmas cancelled due to bad weather (among other things), I answer a resounding YES.
I have a funny feeling that this is going to be my favorite thread in 2009. Once I laugh at all the coming comments I will be ready to ring in 2010 on a joyful note
I can't scream yes any louder. Between the financial struggles and drama, it all needs to be put behind. I'm ready to move on to a positive year.
2009 was a big piece of sh*t. Glad to be almost done with it.

Frankly, this whole decade was a wash to me.
2009 kinda sucked. I imagine I'll spend the first part of 2010 in some kind of stunned stupor as I realise the entire 2000-2009 decade has passed without me without achieving anything in particular of note. I hope to be less angst-ridden by springtime.
It's not a year I'll look back on with unalloyed pleasure.
2009 was a HORRIBLE year. And I"m not blaming anyone except myself.

It was indeed a difficult decade- everyoen seems to agree on that. But 2009- between President Obama's inauguration and the premiere of Glee- gave us plenty to look forward to.
I blame Rob Marshall.
After today, I was wondering why I didn't just stay in bed like I thought was best when things started happening last week.
My list of year end cheer that I believe can only get better:
1. I broke a pair of headphones last week.
2. The camera on my cell phone is acting weird and not working all the time.
3. I dropped someone's Christmas present and fell on top of a lawn mower on Friday.
4. No comment on my old car.
5. An old computer got fried on Sunday.
6. My watch battery died.
7. The vaccuum at work sucked up the power cord, and it got through the rubber covering.
8. I dropped my iPod. (Fortunately it still works.)
9. I can't get said iPod to work on new computer outside of iTunes.
Anymore questions?
I'm sharing the blame with the barometer.
Ugh, 2009 was easily the worst year of my life but some great things happened too towards the end. Still, so ready for 2010, and it has to be better!
PalJoey, what was Aunt Sally's (annual?) New Year's comment?

I'm so glad 2009 is almost over. In 2010, I'll start high school, leaving behind a middle school filled with immature, arrogant jerks. I just want to get over with it and graduate!
Yes, yes, & yes. This was a sh*tty year all around.

In 2010, I'll start high school, leaving behind a middle school filled with immature, arrogant jerks, to attend a high school full of all new immature, arrogant jerks.
"Anymore questions?"
Yes - did anything that really matters go wrong this year?
Other than Keyboard Kitty and Modern Family, 2009 was a complete waste of time. LOU-ZEEEEE!

JoeKv99, I know that's probably true, but there's one particular immature jerk going to a different high school than I, and I would do anything to not have to deal with him ever again.
Jane-Yes they did. I just posted all the things going wrong in the past week because it's sort of funny, although when these things happened, it certainly wasn't.

2009 sucked.
Looking forward to a happy and productive 2010.

Reg, are you attempting to give The Queen's 1992 Annus Horribilis speech?
I had a good year. If nothing else, I have more money than I've ever had.
