I have a giant fear of aging, so I'm not happy to see another year slip away. I'm still trying to figure out a way to rewind to 2000.

Now that I look back, 2009 was a so-so year. There were several ups and downs. I got lots of amazing opportunities, met plenty of good people, and experienced wonderful things. The year started going down hill from August onward. There were a few disappointments and a couple of deaths in the family, but for the most part, I'm thankful for my health and every great opportunity I have gotten this year.
We'll just have to see what 2010 has in store!
Happy New Year everyone!

Yes. Not that a little change in the calendar is going to make much of a life difference.
This was the best and worst year of my life. I got engaged and came out to my family and within weeks lost a person who means more to me than I can ever say. As Plum said, it's not like putting up a new calendar really does anything, but it is nice to at least feel like we get to begin again.

Congratulations to everyone who had a satisfying 2009 and well wishes for 2010. :)
I was really looking forward to 2009 being over, as the last quarter of the year was all crowded with medical appointments. However, the doctors appointments led to a somewhat grim diagnosis and I feel like that's what the entirety of my 2010 will be about. I kind of miss 2009 already.
Happy New Year, everyone.
It was an absolutely horrible year for me personally, and I am fricking happy as heck that it's done with.
Here's wishing everyone a healthy and successful 2010!
