I genuinely want to know if you believe they are. And why. Give me a really good, logical, justified argument. And I might even blow you in exchange.
JK about the bj.
No, B3TA07, we're not.
But you, on the other hand, are.
YES
Second-class citizen is an informal term used to describe a person who is systematically discriminated against within a state or other political jurisdiction, despite their nominal status as a citizen or legal resident there. While not necessarily slaves, outlaws or criminals, second-class citizens have limited legal rights, civil rights and economic opportunities, and are often subject to mistreatment or neglect at the hands of their putative superiors. Instead of being protected by the law, the law disregards a second-class citizen, or it may actually be used to harass them.
Example is our RIGHT TO MARRY- while heterosexual can marry~were not! we dont have the SAME PRIVILEDGES as them and were DENIED all the benefits that goes with
civil marriage and we are DENIED about 400 STATE BENEFIT and OVER 1,000 FEDERAL BENEFITS:
joint parenting;
joint adoption;
joint foster care, custody, and visitation (including non-biological parents);
status as next-of-kin for hospital visits and medical decisions where one partner is too ill to be competent;
joint insurance policies for home, auto and health;
dissolution and divorce protections such as community property and child support;
immigration and residency for partners from other countries;
inheritance automatically in the absence of a will;
joint leases with automatic renewal rights in the event one partner dies or leaves the house or apartment;
inheritance of jointly-owned real and personal property through the right of survivorship (which avoids the time and expense and taxes in probate);
benefits such as annuities, pension plans, Social Security, and Medicare;
spousal exemptions to property tax increases upon the death of one partner who is a co-owner of the home;
veterans' discounts on medical care, education, and home loans; joint filing of tax returns;
joint filing of customs claims when traveling;
wrongful death benefits for a surviving partner and children;
bereavement or sick leave to care for a partner or child;
decision-making power with respect to whether a deceased partner will be cremated or not and where to bury him or her;
crime victims' recovery benefits;
loss of consortium tort benefits;
domestic violence protection orders;
judicial protections and evidentiary immunity;
and more....
DO YOUR MATH ! Its not EQUAL! SIMPLY NOT ACCEPTABLE!! I cant believe your even asking these questions?

Okay, you're both second class citizens, then.

I'm not a second-rate queen getting kicks with a crown!
Listen, I'm just asking. Someone I thought was a friend deleted me from Facebook (major social taboo!) because I disagreed with them about their assertion that gays are second class citizens. So I wanted to get others' opinions to have a fairer and more thought out opinion on the topic.
If our rights are not equal to everyone elses then it is only logical to say that we are second class citizens.

Kringas, you have and will always be a first rate queen.

Shhhh, keep it down, i'm trying to keep it low pro. you know, on the DL.
I'm working this incognito ****.
It's a pretty silly thing to disagree on--ESPECIALLY between gay people.
It's a matter of opinion.
What do I think?
I do not currently have the right to marry my boyfriend in all 50 states. I am not protected in all 50 states from discrimination at work and elsewhere. I can not adopt in all 50 states. I can not serve my country openly and honestly. Etc etc etc.
What do you think?

Well, I do have my winter padding.
Well anyway, back to the subject at hand, OF COURSE HOMOSEXUALS ARE SECOND CLASS CITIZENS.
Seriously, anyone who doesn't think so is clearly one of the people coontributing to the opression.
Until my rights are the same as everyone else's I am not a full citizen of this country.
Right, i forgot california just put us behind slaughter chickens.
Why are you bitter queens so sensitive these days? You get all teared up cause Dorothy goes to Oz and I say "gay" and you get all up in arms like Saddam's coalition. Who do you think you ****ing are, Martha Stewart? Well I'll see you when you get out of prison, bitch.de

"Why are you bitter queens so sensitive these days?"
Because of people like you.
Begone - you have no power here.
lolol not here in the UK, and i hope not in the states to
Let me apologize up front for my words possibly offending. I've been married for over 23 years, so I can't know how others may feel who don't have that right. Having said that, I think you are only a second class citizen if you allow yourself to be. Was Martin Luther King a second class citizen? Was Rosa Parks? Ben Franklin? I would never classify the people who have been protesting Prop 8 and working to get it overturned as second class anything.
Again, I apologize if I offend. It's easy for me to write these words, and I can't know what others are going through.
yes. now get the eff to the back of the damn bus because i feel like i'm trapped in a freakin' teakettle with all the damn yessing.
I keep thinking maybe I'll find a boyfriend at one of these rallies, but I swear, all this activism has done has bring out ALL of my exes.
It's not at the rallies, you connect. It's at the planning meetings.
Well, you certainly shouldn't be second class citizens, but unfortunately you are still treated as such. It's rotten.
