Mallow Cups and Good 'n Fruty

"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." Conan O'Brien

"Good 'n Fruty"

Which reminds me of the old Good 'n Plenty commercial:'

Charlie says "Love my Good 'n Plenty"
Charlies says "Really rings the bell"

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Mallow Cups are still readily available here in the Washington, D.C. area. I just had one, yesterday!

I am so jealous JB2! Mallow Cups are hard to find here in New England. Never cared for Good 'n Plenty (I hate licorice)

Must find them! Will they sell them by the box or will I have to buy a case?

Here, you find them in convience stores (7/11, WaWa), and gas station shops.

Anyone remember loose cigarettes? You could buy 1 cigarette. I also remember when cigarettes in a machine cost 23 cents. You'd put in a quarter, pull the lever, and the pack would dispense. There would be 2 pennies under the cellophane on the pack of cigarettes.

I miss the real Hostess cupcakes. Twinkies used to be really good as well. Now they all taste like plastic.

... which reminds me of the season when the play "Good" was perfomring next to the play "Plenty". Seriously, folks; you can look it up. Proof that God has a sense of humour, IMHO.

DollyPop........I do remember vaguely about operator assisted dialing in Bellport. When I was about 3, I just to climb up on the chair by the phone and ask the operator for the High School and I would talk to my father. Sadly, I also remember the tragic fire.
