I never watch the show live, always after the fact on DVR, so I can fast forward through all of the commercials, musical acts, and sketches that are clearly lame a minute or two in -- it never takes me more than 30 minutes to watch the show.

The sad thing is the tech guy who screwed-up and pushed the wrong button, hence the wrong song, is probably looking for work this afternoon.

Well, I guess she's supposed to sing on the Radio Music Awards tonight. Hopefully, her "people" have been in damage control since Saturday night.

If she does a modified version of her song and does it in a way that it's obvious she's not lip-syncing, then she might be able to save face.

It would be career FATAL for her NOT to perform live tonight.

If she doesn't, then Sir Elton will probably comment and rightfully so.

If she does and it's obviously NOT lip-synced then she'll win a lot of "good for her" comments. Like she fell on her skates, got up, and kept on going.

Her 'people' have to be in damage control right now.

This show is going downhill real fast. None of the stetches I saw were funny at all. Even the SNL News was really bad. The show needs a complete overhaul. I ended up falling asleep before the Ashley fiasco.

things have definetly gotten stale.

The coming fiasco (the election) will most likely give them some new material.

She will absolutely be there tonight. There's been way too much press over both the SNL fiasco and the ensuing stories about her performing tonight. She's very fortunate to get this immediate chance to redeem herself.

After reading that article, I feel kinda bad for the kid. It's always sad when the the music business is more about the business than the music.

We all know the likes of Ash, Madonnazilla, J-Ho, Slitney, Beyond-ce, etc can't carry a tune in a 5 gallon bucket unless a computer's around; what I don't understand is why this doesn't happen more often.

You know what? I'm actually inclined to believe that last link. The acid reflux thing was on her little MTV show, but more importantly, I buy that this was likely her 1st time performing with backing vocals for two reasons.

1) She has sounded OBVIOUSLY live--from flat to hoarse--on previous performances (Leno, MTV, etc.)
2) Had she been seasoned enough at singing to a vocal track, she would have had a better idea what to do. The Hoe-down/Jig method of handling the snafu seems like a pretty clear beginner-panic thing to do.

Anyone agree? I mean, no doubt, it was a lip-synchy thing, but I think I will accept the explanation. I really do feel sorry for the kid.

Another awards show for the rappers who sing about degrading women, gunplay, and nasty sexual stuff, all using the most vile language possible, to get up and thank God for their careers.
