Hi all-
I have two auditions coming up:
-Bat Boy: an edgy rock musical
-John & Jen: a contemporary Andrew Lippa musical about a brother and sister
They are lesser known shows. I was thinking of doing "Somewhere That's Green" (Little Shop) for Bat Boy and "Still Hurting" (L5Y) for John & Jen. I also LOVE the song "Come to Your Senses" from Tick..Tick..Boom! It works REALLY well for my voice. But I'm not sure which audition I could use that song for. Any advice/suggestions? Thanks so much in advance!!

I've never been a fan of 'Come to your senses' - it's a bit overdone where i am.
the other two songs sound perfect :) x
thanks! I had no idea it was overdone, some of the MTs where I am don't know of it.

I'm from the UK and it's a bit of a 'cool' show with a lot of my friends. I have no idea about over in the US tho.
Good luck my dearie xx
I love Come to your senses. I have only recently discovered tick tick Boom and love the music for it! I wouldn't have thought for it to be too overdone to be honest.
OK. Do you think it would be a good audition song for "Bat Boy" or "John & Jen" if you're familiar with them? Bat Boy is DEFINITELY a rock musical, and John & Jen reminds me of The Last Five Years.
hey i think those are pretty good choices. tick, tick, boom was an it show in like 2000. it used to be overdone, but the only song that is still overdone from it is ´´louder than words´´. though i guess it does depend on what area you´re in. on the other hand, if you love it and it fits your voice really well then do it.
good luck
