I'll be there!
Seems like a young and colorless cast.

I've tried to watch this show, but I just can't. For one thing, it's on too many times a week. And the people in it are uniformly loathsome even by reality tv standards.

You are right as always, calvin...and yet I still watch.
There have been some good characters tho.
Rennie: "There's an almond joy in my bed!" "Ping Pong balls?!"

I remember you attempting to watch last season too, Calvin, might as well give this one a chance.
As usual, I'm counting down the days to the premiere.. I can't wait!!

So excited, though I still don't get why it's 11 white people and one light skinned black girl poised to be in the "Chima" slot if you watch the video introducing them.

Well, I'll say one thing. This year's cast is extra purty. I'll be watching.

It's like an accident...you just can't look away...I will be there, besides this has always been my Summer guilty pleasure.

i think i can tell by the photos who is going to be popular and hated in the beginning. i will have to see if i am right. i have been right before.
i wish they would try the UK format for this show just once to see if it works.

well, it has changed from the first season they really had to work to get privelages - like ride a stationary bike and such...but, i am pretty sure the audience at home still decides who is evicted. the public definately vote for who wins.

Piper - If you mean having the audience vote, they tried that the first season, which was a completely different format entirely. It was a boring disaster. The problem with the audience voting people out of the house is that the house guests end up performing for the viewers instead of figuring out as much strategy. I love the format we have. It's far more interesting than watching a bunch of people acting as ridiculous or sexual as possible to win an audience popularity contest.
doodle - I miss Rennie! I wish she would come back. She was one of the most entertaining house guests EVER. Can we please have an All Stars with Rennie, Jen, Jun, Jordan, Amy and Janelle?
I am really looking forward to Big Brother starting up again. It's a great place-holder while I await the return of Survivor, Amazing Race and Top Model.

Matt, I LOVE that cast...I'd like to add Marcellas and Kaysar (to look at!)

^^ I love Dr. Will. He's my favorite player of all time. :)
I also loved Evil Dick and all of his fights with Jen during season 8.

I could go with Will, Marcellus and Kaysar (it would be fun to reunite Marcellus with both Janelle AND Amy). But I can't STAND Evil Dick and that bitchface Danielle. I hated every minute of their airtime and I was sickened they made it to the end together (though Danielle's "heterosexual" clueless "boyfriend" is more than welcome to return sans Mohawk). That season was effed up and I was totally surprised by how much I grew to like Jen.

I'll allow Will as long as Boogie isnt there.
I agree about Dick tho. He should've been thrown off the show for some of the stuff he got away with.

oh i see. i haven't watched the UK one for a while i have moved away. when it first came on i had it on a feed and found it very very boring.
i think with the audience voting you also have a chance of them voting out some great characters.
now, i watch in two hours a week if that and i love it. yes, it is highly edited and some of the sh*t is not how it really went down but i really love to escape with this show.
in recent history i think Allison bugged me the most and I am trying to think of my fave. I knew Dick was going to win and his skelator daughter really bothered me.
yes Dick got away with a lot, but so have others his was more physical though.

The only other player who was as bad or worse than Dick was thrown off the show.

I heard someone say that Jesse's facebook says something about him being involved again. I hope not. We don't need a third season of him showing up somewhere.

because she threw her mic in the water and ate. broke the rules. i still say at least one in a season has made people wonder why thy are not warned. there is a fine line. i think they explained why Evel Dick wasn't booted but I don't remember.

Re: getting kicked off the show...There was also Justin from season 2 who got kicked off early on. He held a knife to Krista's throat.
Dick wasn't pleasant. However, he made things interesting. He was a target that they could never get rid of.

See, I didn't even find Dick interesting. He was so predictable. He would choose a target and hound them all week. If they weren't voted off, he would zero in on them the moment someone left the house and blame them for everything. It was always the same. He was worse than boring. He was loud and boring. And the producers let him do anything he wanted. He wasn't booted because the producers wanted him in the house as long as possible for ratings.
Justin from season 2 was psychotic, plain and simple.
Chima was just stupid and she clearly did not want to be there or play by anyone's rules other than her own. She didn't do anything worse than Dick, she just gave up. So did Jen. Jen knew she was going home, so she decided to at least try and be a little more comfortable.
And please no more Boogie, Jesse, Howie, Ronnie or Russell. I don't ever need to see them again.
