Thanks Kringas - odd thing though, the Berman thread actually got some dialogue from people. You would think that would allowed it to stay - not that I really mind. I did put it out there as a smart ass thing - all the others were women shelly's and I wanted a man to be represented today too. hahaha.

The Shelley threads are better than reading these medical records right now that address female issues.

Sorry, I would've bumped the thread earlier but I was too busy sawing off my love handles to drop 2 more pounds. Blood, fat and gravy all over the keyboards now though.

I think that the "I have a very very serious announcement" thread may be nearing freakout status, thanks to Namo. We're poised and waiting...

He does seem quite good at doing things like that, doesn't he?

Well, thanks to Namo, thanks to SallyBrown, all depends how you look at it.

Either way, I think the thread's got good potential.

PalJoey, I didn't want to start a fight on that thread, but I will say here that SallyBrown has never, ever struck me as the type of person who would play a trick like that.

However, my instincts suck, so try reading over her past posts and seeing whether or not you agree.

I'm saying that it seems like a huge coincidence that there are two different boys named Jesse, both 17, both dying of AIDS and both being discussed on this board.

From what I know of SB, I don't think she's lying.

However, I live about 10 minutes outside the town he lived in.... it's easy enough to find out if it's true or not.

I disagree with how Namo says it, but I was just gonna say - he posted 4 days ago. Does AIDS attack THAT fast?

I dunno, she's 14 (I think)? Does she want her moment? I don't know what's happening.

Then again, she said he met someone. Who did he meet - if he really did? And is it a rouse b/c the person he met is annoying him?

I don't know about AIDS, but I have a friend who is quite likely to die soon from cancer and I still speak with her online.

I have a friend that's end stage, and he goes out to bars with us, chats online, and we all know that any day we'll get that dreaded call. The fact that he's end stage does not mean he's a vegetable.

I meant that he continued to post on BWW...and, like Namo said, middle-class 17 yo white kid - probably could afford medicine. Isn't it more of a progression than just - BAM!?

I don't know how it works either.
For now, I'll believe it (because I don't want to believe someone could be so sick).

And I am sorry for your friend, Plum!
