I am a consultant, and I work on a contractual basis. My last project wrapped up on Friday, and I don't start my next one for a few days, so I have some time off this week.

A local hospital. I applied for pretty much every clerical position I qualify for.

But I already got a call from a company saying I got the receptionist job I've been fighting for the past week. But noooooo...mom wants me to get the hospital job instead.
