BWW Mysteries: The Case of Bradley Cooper's Oddly Tanned Legs

So, Bradley Cooper's got a spread in W Magazine. Good for him. In one of the photos he appears to be fully nude and holding a white suit jacket over his right shoulder and a pair of white pants in front of him. It's a bit kooky, but I'm sure we can all go with it. The thing that puzzles me, though, is that he appears to have some kind of reverse tan in which the skin on his legs ABOVE his knees and leading up to his crotch is more tan than the significantly paler skin BELOW his knees.

NYers on the scene: Is Bradley Cooper parading around town in knee length socks and short shorts? If not, can you help solve this mystery?

So, unfortunately, this photo doesn't go below the knees, but I think it's safe to assume that Cooper is wearing socks up to his knees. I'm sticking with my original theory.

Something's been going on with his face. It almost looks botoxed in recent interviews. Maybe it's just a side effect of scrunching it up every night on stage.

He gained a lot of weight for the show, and lost a lot of muscle. I don't think he botoxed anything.

Also, W magazine is known for its artsy photography and in other photos he has white pancake makeup on some of his body, but all of it.
