Darlymuffkins...I ALWAYS reciprocate. Always.

*snaps on rubber glove*
Suzanne: I never use catalogs. I'd rather go in the store and see all the salespeople groveling and sucking up to you. Julia: Pardon me, I never knew they were so solicitous at the K-Mart.

I've also met her several times. She is HUGE in San Francisco, and my social planning committee used to throw parties for her everytime she was in town, and my friend did all her booking.

I have everything she has EVER done on CD, and can, at any given time, recite any of her vignettes entirely from memory.

A life should be gotten, I know.

re: bww: a view from an outsider

Actually, I think I might have posted this before, but I've always wanted to ask Shirley if her character was based in part on a local radio personality of ours growing up (Winnsboro, which is a place I seem to recall Shirley often mentioning and might be where she is from, is only about 40 miles from my hometown). Pearly Tolliver was quite possibly the most hilarious few hours you could spend on a radio ever. Unintentionally. She hosted a radio gospel show (and, during the week, was a cafeteria lady at my college!) which played absolutely horrid music, but she spent most of her time "making money" by reading ads on the air. She was known to belch, fart, spend 5 minutes trying to think of what you call those packets of things that make ernj flava drinks (Kool-aid, she finally remembered)...we used to tape her every Sunday morning. Shirley's humor reminds me a lot of Pearly (who, sadly, passed away last year, God rest her soul).

If, my dear rosé one, by soon you mean "Oh, say, 5:44pm today" then, yes, why not? :) I know Bobby misses me TERRIBLY and would cherish the opportunity to see me once again.

Yes. But you must be on your best behaviour. I shall be monitoring closely.

Do you think B. E. N. would prefer a blue diamond in a platinum setting or a white diamond in a gold setting for his engagement ring? re: bww: a view from an outsider

re: bww: a view from an outsider

that's what i was leaning toward.

So, when I marry PalJoey's nephew, we will have platinum rings and pink tuxes (for you, Addy.)
