Ugg! This is a horrible title, and a horrible picture, for Streisand's highly anticipated new cd coming out in September. Gibb barely looks alive. Didn't anyone comb his hair?
sugar, if that's what it looks like now, just think what it looked like before retouching. ouch. they're old. and so am i, suddenly.
She looks so uncomfortable in that picture. I can't believe that is the best picture of that photo session. I realize they are trying to emulate the original Guilty shot, but this is not a great picture.
And just think...we haven't even HEARD the album yet!
I'm not anticipating anything great. Increasingly, her albums feature just one or two beautiful quality songs surpounded by banal pop shlock.
I am hoping this is a greater album than her recent studio efforts. The Movie Album was a snooze fest. I have to admit however that I really enjoyed A Love Like Ours and Christman Memories.
Barry Gibb is a great songwriter. Let's keep our fingers crossed. This one has potential.
You have to admit though, that for a 63 year old singer, the woman still is a force in the music industry. It will be interesting to see where this lands on the pop charts.
Now, now, seniors have sex too.
Hopefully we will all be able to experience senior sex as well.

It will absolutely positively debut at #1. Barbra will drive around buying copies herself if need be. There will be a marketing campaign that will make everything else pale in comparison.
Did anyone see Kathy Griffin last night talking about Barbra on Oprah, wearing all Cream, all the way down to painting Oprah's Microphone Cream, also.
I can't stand Griffin and I can't stand Barbra, but the bit was monstrously funny....
Griffin is beginning to grow on me. Her stand up thing for Bravo was a scream.
Considering what Streisand's face really looks like, the photo is flattering.
We all can't be as beautiful as you are CM2, either in or out of clothes.
Oh I don't even like Streisand that much and I'm looking forward to this record. I hope she releases a music video where she tries to "boogie" like she does at the end of A STAR IS BORN. That always makes me laugh my ass off.
And everyone knows those pictures of CM2 were taken the year his favorite movie came out.
Yes, that would make me 67 years old.
As long as the equipment works, you can be 167.
Ah, A STAR IS BORN....still waiting for the DVD on that one...kitsch heaven.
It is coming out in December - cannot wait. The film hasn't aged well.
And, Michael Bennett, WHY on earth are you looking forward to this release? I mean, if you don't even like her? I can't think of anything I am looking forward to less, than this release. I mean, if I got a copy of it for free, I'd give it away, without even listening to it. But, I hate the sound of her voice. Apparently you don't hate the sound of her voice.
CM2 -- is thus the same age as other hotties:
BOB EUBANKS
and
MARY JO CATLETT
I'm looking forward to the release purely for the camp factor. Have you seen the end of A STAR IS BORN, CM2? It's the funniest thing ever.
Lord no! I couldn't make to the end of that thing. Besides being really dull, everybody in it was ugly.
Ah, yes. In her "enlightened-masochist" white outfit. Lovely. She also does a little "dancing" in her recent concert during "The Main Event"
CM2 -- if you ever have a margaritas and marijuana party, you will want to see the last five minutes (and only the last five minutes) of A STAR IS BORN.
Barbra tries to boogie. Yes. Boogie. And as one critic commented: "Barbra Streisand couldn't win a get down and boogie contest if her competition was Olivia Newton John and Karen Carpenter."
OUCH!...but so true - she may have been one of the strongest performers to grace the cabaret cirquit when she was in her early 20s, but she was never a graceful mover. She's best when standing perfectly still and singing. or was. not sure how I feel about her voice anymore (though I do like her version of I am Calling You, from Bagdad Cafe)
Red, she was always a clumsy mover. Just watch her run in any of her films. It is quite humerous.
Her voice however, was perfection in the 60s and 70s. She began loosing its wonderful range and tone in the 80s and unfortunately is now a shadow of what it once was.
Comes with age I suspect.
