Okay, great job, Houston. They played a great series, and while we were hit hard by injuries (Scott Rolen, anyone?), they won - mostly - fair and square. I don't want to sound bitter, but is there a chance they'll name Umpire Phil Cuzzi MVP of the series? Kidding, of course.
For those of you who don't know the supreme class of the St. Louis fans, not only did they stand and cheer after the final out, but they ended up chanting, "Let's go, Astros!"
Sad to see the old Busch Stadium go, but the new Busch Stadium is supposed to be great. No doubt that the Redbirds will be back next year - not to mention the 'Stros will be a lot different. A lot of them will be leaving after this year, and I'd be surprised if at least two out of three of Clemens, Biggio, and Bagwell don't retire now that they've played in a World Series in Houston.
Great year, Cardinals. See ya' next year! And good luck Houston (though I'd like to see the ChiSox win).
