Battleship

Posted: 4/17/12 at 8:27amBattleship opened in Australia on Thursday, saw it tonite at the Drive In! It was big, dumb, got stupdier as the film went on! Plot holes so big that even the cast knew they where there! Parts of it lacked well anything, at the start it was unsure what it wanted to be, anti war, pro war, anti plot, pro plot. The most effective part was the Battleship moment towards the end of the film. Stupid Dumb and a few moments of fun!

Posted: 4/17/12 at 8:32amHas Liam Neeson officially become Nicolas Cage 2.0? It seems like an endless string of one bad movie after another.

One would think so, I saw him in wrath early in the day. Liam is only in the start and end of the film. And that is not a spoiler!

Posted: 4/17/12 at 10:34amI laughed out loud at the preview. I can endure stupid movies- but stupid movies based on stupid board games?

Please tell me they have the line; "You sunk my Battleship!"
Can't wait for "Shoots and Ladders" the Movie! Or "Candyland".

I think it's Chutes and not Shoots...
as for Candyland the movie... i was kinda interested in seeing how that would be done... but then they cast Adam Sandler and now I have zero interest in it

Posted: 4/17/12 at 1:14pmThere IS a Monopoly movie in the works, I believe.

Posted: 4/17/12 at 1:57pmWell, we did have Clue and that was fun, at least (with that dynamite cast). But since the announcement of this film, there was nothing about it that made me want to see it. The previews only solidified my decision. Zero interest.

There is a Monopoly movie in development but it has been back-burnered.
Candyland is indeed moving forward. As is Ouija Board.
I wish I was making this up.
Battleship looks utterly preposterous. I can't wait.

Posted: 4/17/12 at 2:01pmI think Jumanji was also a decent movie.

Nah, not well known enough.
They would need a huge star like Robin Williams or someone to pull that off.

Posted: 4/17/12 at 2:59pmWait, Quija Board the Movie? Didn't we already have that with The Exorcist? Mr Howdy anyone?

Posted: 4/17/12 at 3:14pmPerhaps Ouiji Board will be the latest "reboot" of The Exorcist. You know, same story but TOTALLY DIFFERENT this time around. Darker and grittier, which always means "better".
