OK, so I did get cast in And The World Goes 'Round after all, (I thought my audition last night was just OK, but I'm always super hard on myself), which is exciting, and I'm really looking forward to our first rehearsal this Sunday! =) Yay!
As it gets closer, I'm going to start really pestering all you LA-types to come support it, as it's a fundraiser for West Coast Ensemble, in addition to being a fab show.
Please see this thread for info on the fundraiser. (Which includes a raffle! Buy some tickets! Win prizes! Yay!)

Congrats!
I have great affection for this show. (My daughter was in it her Freshman year of college.)
Do you know which songs you'll be singing yet?
That's fantastic! Congrats...I love that show and I hope you're doing the Karen Mason track (my personal fave track in the show).
Too bad you won't be performing when I'm out there!
That's great!! Congrats!! I hope it's as fun as you think it will be. (I bet it will. EVery show is amazing to put together.)

Thanks, guys!
You know, I'm not sure which "track" I'll be doing, as I know they're playing around with the roles a bit. (They cast more than 5 people in the show...I don't know how many more, though.)
I do know that my solo will be "How Lucky Can You Get" and that I'll be singing the duet "The Grass Is Always Greener" with Lisa Picotte (a really great musical theater performer out here), with me playing the star and she, the housewife. Of course, I'll also be in the group numbers, and as they did cast more than 5 people, "Cabaret" is now designated specifically as a quintet, which I will also be doing.
Should be fun!
Yay Erika!
Yay Erika! I saw you in 42nd St at Lawrence Welk a few months back and I'm glad to see you are doing so well!! Keep me updated and maybe I'll take a drive up to LA.

Hey, keggs! That would be great! Tickets are only $30 a piece, and it's a fundraiser, so the more butts we can get in the seats, the better!
The show's going to run February 24, 25, 26 and March 3, 4, 5

Mon Congrats!!
Congrats!
Congrats, Erika, and have a great time! I love this show.
I saw two women do "The Grass Is Always Greener" in a cabaret and loved it. I didn't know what it was from, and now I do! Congrats on the job!
