I keep seeing different things though. Some reports are saying he's alive and some are saying he's dead.
I just woke up so this is kind of confusing. I really really hope he's still alive.

I just saw this on the NY Times website, so unfortunately I am inclined to believe it's true.
How utterly awful. I loved his tv show and the Oceans movies. My deepest condolences to his friends and family.

Posted: 8/9/08 at 10:39amThis indeed is very sad. I'm going to a funeral tomorrow of my husband's first cousin who just passed away from Legionnaire's pneumonia- he was only 60. Bernie was only 50. I did hear a report that he also had sarcoidosis and that would have definitely made the matter worse. My kids and I used to watch his show together. He was a very funny man and will be missed.
