re: Best Christmas Albums.

I didn't know they had a 3-CD Ultra Lounge Christmas Collection.

I just have the first CD. I guess to get the third disc you have to buy the whole thing. darn.

re: Best Christmas Albums.

Their version of My Favorite Things is "supreme!"

Mateo---You don't have to buy the whole thing anymore to get the third CD. I bought it separately at Virgin Megastore (on sale). And yes I have the other two!

...and YES, Joe & Tazzy, I have ALL the Ultra Lounge Capitol CDs, plus the two On The Rocks CDs (featuring brilliantly cheesy lounged-up rock & roll songs from the '60s). The best!

Bestie- I just bought The Supreme's "My Favorite Things" on iTunes today. :)

ETA: I have them all too! My fav is the Ultra Lounge Vegas Baby- with the roulette wheel cover.

re: Best Christmas Albums.

you can get them seperately matty, but for 19.99 it's cheaper to buy the set than the 2nd and 3rd disc individually.

re: Best Christmas Albums.

Ain't it the BEST?!

Oh, and Part 3 isn't so very "cocktailish" after all. Still good tracks, but they don't "groove" or whack-out enough like the first two volumes.

I was the only kid in high school to blast Martin Denny over their portable CD player.

re: Best Christmas Albums.

Norn posting reminded me about Dolly's Home for Christmas. Her version of "Go Tell It On A Mountain" will make your thighs burst into flames. SOOOO GOOODDD!!!!!

re: Best Christmas Albums.

Both Amy Grant's and Sandi Patty's first two Christmas albums are musts.

Amy Grant--A Christmas Album and Home for Christmas
Sandi Patty--The Gift Goes On and O Holy Night

The lastest Christmas offerings from these Gospel legends--not so much (A Christmas to Remember/Grant and Yuletide Joy/Patty).

re: Best Christmas Albums.

Besty beat me to it. That Supremes Christmas Album is a tradition over at my house and their rendition of "My Favorite Things" is magnificent.

I also have all the Ultra Lounge CDs as well!
