Angels in America is easily in my top 10 movies of this decade.
Angels in America is absolutely brilliant.
The Birdcage is probably my favorite.
In and Out was very funny.
I still need to see But I'm a Cheerleader.
Torch Song Trilogy and The Birdcage are two of my favortie movies! Funny, poignant and they both have roots in Broadway!
there are a lot of good foreign titles. i recently realized one of my faves is ...
COME UNDONE (PRESQUE RIEN)
it is a very intelligently made film. i found myself using quite a few clips from it in my most recent kissing vid.
Torch Song Trilogy

Has 8 Women been mentioned yet?
How can you beat a French Murder Mystery Movie Musical with lesbian undertones?
Jeffrey is such a fun movie.
Patrick Stewart, throwing a sweater over his shoulders and examining his reflection in a mirror: Can I do this? Or do I look like some sort of gay superhero?
Jeffrey was my first gay movie :)
my votes:
Boys In the Band
Angels In America
Heavenly Creatures
&
Brokeback Mountain (sorry i know it's cliche but i loved it)
i like the sad ones
ANOTHER GAY MOVIE
The funniest movie I've seen in ages. ..and it's also raunchy, I have to admit. I saw it at the Provencetown International Gay Film Festival. Utterly hilarious...I think it opens in the big cities on July 28th. It's a gay version of the teenage movies like American Pie and that ilk. Funny takeoff of Carrie in it, as well as cameos from several recent gay TV icons.
Z, i agree that 8 FEMMES / 8 WOMEN is absolutely brilliant!
Have to throw RELAX IT'S JUST SEX and CIRCUIT into the mix as well.
ew i hated Circuit. it was so badly made. i felt like i was watching a podcast converted over to DVD. only in podcasts, they act better!
I've seen a lot of the films mentioned here; but, I find it difficult to label most of them "gay movies". The two films that come to mind, that I would call gay films, are THE BOYS IN THE BAND and SOME OF MY BEST FRIENDS ARE; but I thought little of both of them, at the time. Haven't seen them, since they were out, and that was a long time ago.
I created the "Worst Gay Movies" a few hours before this thread was created. Not even a "thank you" for the inspiration?
muscle, we're so indebted to you and we thank you from the bottom of our collective hearts.
speaking of ANGELS IN AMERICA ... i just popped the dvd in to see if this dvd player was hooked up properly ... oh, that music! it just makes me want to CRY ... and i can't get it out of my head ...
