The very best "ride", which is more of a show, at DIsney Owrld right now is Micky's Philharmagic. It is spectacular!

Alien's Encounter-I have been obsessed with the adorable little alien named Skippy ever since I was in the sixth grade. I have a big stuffed Skippy that is like my security blanket now. I don't sleep with him every night, but if I've had a rough day, he finds his way back to my bed. (And the little nook under my arm that the fits perfectly into.)
I don't do well on rides (do to my fear of heights, uncomfortable reaction to high speeds, and frequent motion sickness).
My favorite ride was "It's a Small World After All".
Yes, it's really old and ghetto and totally needs to be redone.
But there's lots to look at, happy music, and it goes very slowly.
I remember liking the Haunted Mansion as well.
(But those Spinning Teacups were a mistake...)

You know, I bet a lot of people say that It's A Small World is probably the scariest ride at Disney World. To each his own.

~FF~ It's a Small World is also a spectacular example of Walt's ability to see where we COULD go, instead of getting bogged down in where we were AT. He was far ahead of the curve on the whole 'one-earth' concept - as far as pop culture influences go. Him and Gene Roddenberry.
Why on EARTH would that ride be scary?!?!?!
It's dancing dolls!!!
You get to see so many outfits from different cultures!
And there's a fake hot air balloon
And a rainforest
It frickin' rocks!

I'm sure those who want to interpret reality only in terms of their own experience would find Small World a 'scary' (as in pathetic) representation of how simplistic the recent past was.
My boat broke down in it's a small world. After listening to the song 150 times I was a bit scared :P lol
anyone remember ross's (from friends) special IASW experience?

Yes, but that was at Disneyland.
"We were asked to never again return to the Magic Kingdom" ...
Funny.
My favorite ride at WDW has to be Tower of Terror. I love it, although I'm more partial to the new one at DCA.

Norway ride is the Maelstrom.
My favorite ride is Mission Space. It's at EPCOT and is the most incredible and elaborate ride Disney has ever created. You actually feel as if you are weightless and floating in space. Incredible!
I also love Test Track, Spaceship Earth and Splash Mountain.
Star Tours, but i think I like the one at Disneyland a lil' better.
Space Mountain
Splash Mountain
Alien Encounter
Alien Encounter scared the crap out of me the first time. I remember riding Space Mountain the year it opened. I am so old.

Alien Encounter terrified me! They changed it to Stich's Escape. I have yet to ride it, but it's supposed to be good (that's what the Disney people say). Updated On: 9/10/04 at 08:45 AM
No offence Flowery, but I hate Small World. It is because I was on that ride when there was a total failure. No lights, the boat stopped and those darn dolls kept right on singing! I was stuck in Japan for over 45 minutes, it took me abot 15 years not to hear (and be able to sing that stupid ditty in Japanese!)
But my favorite ride is (or should I say was, since it is no longer there) Mr Toads Wild Ride.

Indiana Jones is at Disneyland, California. But there is a show at Disney-MGM Studios in Florida.

I loved AE! It was so much fun. And Stitch's Excape isn't open yet, so there arn't reviews.
"DCA- Tower of Terror
Disneyland- Space Mountain"
Yes, those rides are fun, but those are at Disneyland RESORT, in California. Walt Disney World is a resort including Magic Kingdom, Epcot (no longer stands for something), Disney-MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney, golf courses, 3 water parks (one closed), thirty something resorts...etc. Although Tower of Terror is at Disney-MGM (although a different type), and Space Mountain originated at the Magic Kingdom.
Tower of Terror at MGM
Dinosaur at AK
Splash Mountain/P of C at MK
None really stand out at EPCOT
The cast member that essayed the role of "Phoebus" in the HUNCHBACK show turned out to be the very best ride for me, personally.

details please.
LOL@mominator's "It's A Small World" experience! Lord they would have had to carry me out in a straight jacket if that happened to me.
I mean no offense to anyone who loves that ride or the message that ride is conveying but just try and get that song outta your head! It's like it's on constant replay....scary!
MISTER TOAD IS GONE???? What has it been replaced with? I loved that ride! And now Alien Encounter is being replaced by Stitch? That sucks!
And I HATE all the "virtual reality" rides they keep adding. There's only so many times you can watch a film and get shaken in a box before you're sick of it. I loved Horizons at EPCOT and it's gone. The Innoventions are nowhere near as cool as the Communicores used to be. The last time I was there, they were mostly just video games.

I always loved the Tiki Room as a kid - where the birds sang words and the flowers crooned... A giant animatronic tiki bar from the old days. It was corny, but I think it is part of the reason I can't say no to a Mojito now.
